Something I've been thinking about a lot lately, is how to help YOU really pay attention when it comes to learning skills to become trusted by your teen, so I share my thoughts here....
Sharing about the wondering wedding weekend and a little of my "vacation depression" I"m feeling now that it's over. Feel free to message me any other questions you may have if I don't cover it in this recap!
My next event I'm planning and excited for: the Transform Retreat on September 9th in Denver! It's going to be EPIC, and I can't wait to add you to my village, and for you to walk away with more tools to become trusted by your teenager. If you didn't see the bonus of a 12 month payment plan, let me know and I'll get you on that track!
I had to go a tad over 10 minutes to get all of my thoughts out on planning ahead to the next stage even while you're in a current stage.
If you haven't seen about the Transform Retreat, make sure you check it out!
Literally crying at the gym today.... (cue Taylor's new song, "Down Bad")
I got a message from a mom that got me thinking I needed to share my thoughts, and it just so happens that inspiration hit me as I was crying, walking away from the gym 10 minutes after I got there.
Tips: What I do when I can't deal.... you might be suprised!
I recorded this with my airpods in and now I know not to do that anymore... a bit of an echo.
Chatted about the Transform Retreat and how I updated the info page with the specific workshops I'll be teaching there.
Listen to the very end to hear a clip of my girls! I was on a walk and I may not do that again, but pretend we are walking together!
I talked in this episode about the challenges of teen friendships (and how to help them), the Fun Mom Freebie: https://kristenduke.com/teen-summer-fun/
and of course, Team Trusted: https://kristenduke.com/teamtrusted/ (Where you'll find the FRIENDS module!)

Just minutes after I recorded the last episode, I got a call from my son that I shared the story about him. I told him about what I have planned in the next few months, and discussed the importance of sharing stories, and he said, "What does sharing your story have to do with parenting?"
I answer that question in this episode more in depth, it's a great question!
Sharing challenging stories, and especially about your kids is not easy, and that's why I've done this in a safe environement in Team Trusted, our private community, and an aspect that I'm excited about in the Transform Retreat (some will be anonymous) for those that feel safe to share.

The tears came out today!
I wasn't planning to share this today, but I just got back from the gym where I ran into someone (I barely know) and we talked for an hour... I walked away so benefitted from that experience, that it reminded me of how sharing our vulnerable stories has the opportunity to bless others in countelss ways, many we will never know about.
I share how a friends story she shared 10 years ago stuck in my mind, and helped me bless & support my son, and I'll forever be grateful. (Listen to a follow up to this episode in the next one, number 11).
Come to the Transform Retreat September 9th! https://kristenduke.com/sales-page-retreat/

My son just graduated college! My friends on Instagram saw me travel to his graduation on Thursday this week, and you may remember how I've shared in the past that he chose not to participte in high school graduation (and how I eventually became ok with that) but that he dediced to indeed walk in his college graduation.
I shared a video on IG about him growing up, and the things I EXPECTED him to do that he didn't, and my growth process in all of that. Watch that video here.
I then had follow up questions from other mama's asking me, "How is your relationship now?" which I touch on here, and delve deeper into here in this podcast episode.
It's a little choppy towards the end, because as I was chatting on my porch into my voice memo (where I record these episodes) my neighbor came over to talk to me, and I had to stop. Since I had to stitch on the ending part 2 anyway, I cut that part out.
As always, I share about the benefits of Team Trusted, and how they have helped me and others on the team become a more trusted, safe space for their kids, and we'd love to have you join us.
In this quick episode, I share my observations and thoughts after walking through the halls of the high school today.
AND....
That I'm sharing a fun series in my bestie club emails in the next few weeks leading up to Mother's Day, so if you're not in that club, and you wanna be, you can join here: https://kristenduke.com/join/
