Today we talk to one of our extremely special friends, Kristi Askew, who has been such an inspiration to us. We just really wanted to share her journey because we feel there are many people out there who she could help. There is a difficult sickness that afflicts various people in her husband’s family called Huntington’s Disease, which is explained like having ALS, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimers all at the same time. Her husband didn’t experience the symptoms until about 5 years after they had their first child, but then things started to affect him and things began to become a lot more difficult.

“I think so often, especially in our day, people hide their true selves and their emotions, and they’re not vulnerable, and yet trials are there to help us to be vulnerable. And vulnerability isn’t weakness, it’s allowing us to be open.” 26:07
