Featured in TIR Episode 149: Ivan Neville, a prolific keyboardist, singer and composer, and a member of New Orleans’ celebrated musical Neville family. Recording professionally since the early 1980s, Ivan has released four solo albums and been one of the industry’s busiest session players. He is also the leader of Dumpstaphunk, one of the funkiest bands to emerge this millennium. Since 2003, the group has scorched concert stages, grinding out a mix of original tracks along with blistering renditions of funk-rock classics by the likes of Graham Central Station, Betty Davis, Led Zeppelin, the Meters, Mother’s Finest, Parliament-Funkadelic, Mandrill, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more.

Here he discusses everything musical, plus how he has recovered from coming down with COVID-19.
