Speaking truth is a trait of every Christian, and a very important one. The Apostle Paul reminds us that the foundation of truth is what joins us together to the body of Christ.

The book of Revelation begins with a blessing- 'blessed is he who reads, hears, and keeps the words of this prophecy.' What exactly is this blessing- Today we exposit this unique passage and find that the blessing is tied to a promise God made 4000 years ago.

To be fruitful witnesses and representatives of Christ, we are obligated to put to death our old self, which is the flesh-centered, selfish way of thinking and acting. Instead, we must put on the new self, living holy lives that honor and glorify God.

When Jesus said -but of that day and hour no one knows,- what was He referring to- Was it His return, the rapture, the judgement- All of the above- Today we examine this in conjunction with Revelation 1-1 and see that taking Scripture with Scripture is the only way to get to the truth of a passage.

Does Jesus know when He is returning- If so, when did He learn this and why is it important to us- Today we look at the first verse in Revelation which sets the stage for our expository study of this incredible end-times book.

Seeking God's will should be the focus of our prayers and thoughts, as the temptation to seek after our own will is the root of all temptations. Satan tempts us to make everything about ourselves because then we are no longer unified with the body of Christ in serving God's will.

Jesus and all the NT authors cautioned us against being deceived by false teachers and doctrines. We must unify as a body of believers under the truth of God's Word and the Holy Spirit's interpretation of it.
