Pastor Alex exposits the shortest book in the New Testament, 2nd John, examining the theme of this 'postcard epistle' and who exactly was this Elect Lady it was addressed to.

Through Christ's atoning work on the cross, we Gentiles are now citizens of the nation God promised to Abraham 4000 years ago, and this is by grace through faith, not by works.

Today we close out our 10-month expository study of 1st John, and we're reminded that we can have assurance of our salvation, that we need to avoid worshipping idols or false gods, and that ultimately all of Scripture is centered on Christ's glorious return to earth.

A passing glance at today's society tells us people want to be in control. Yet, the Bible strongly opposes our self-will, and instead teaches full reliance on God for everything, including the most important thing- our salvation.

John's epistles tell us we can have confidence in our salvation and that God hears our prayers, but there are some conditions. Today Pastor Alex explores these and helps us find further assurance of our salvation by trusting what God says in His written word.

Just as a dead man can do nothing to help his condition, neither can we do anything to save ourselves - we must fully rely on God's rich mercy and great love for us.

The Apostle John wrote that Jesus came by water and by blood - but what does this mean- With many interpretations out there, today we exposit this using Scripture as our guide. And we also hear more about the testimony of God and how that relates to the gospel.

The world today is pretty crazy, and honestly it seems to be getting worse every day. But you know what- God is still in control- The Son still sits high above all other rule and authority in heaven and on earth, and He is worthy to be trusted.

Pastor Alex exposits John's exhortation to walk in the light of Christ and the warning not to pretend we are sinless. This message is from our midweek Bible study.

Pastor Alex opens Romans with an exposition of the first seven verses of Paul's epistle.
