Hey we’re back! We aren’t big on New Year Resolutions, but we do have a goal as individuals and as a family this year, and that’s to be intentional in all that we do! We are looking forward to all God has for us this year!

We’re faced with many situations in life that garner a response. Will we speak up? Will we intervene? Will we simply meet a need? As a Christian we are held to a higher standard in our response, but many times we fail.

Join us today as we talk about what it means to be committed as a Christian. When we make a commitment to follow Christ, we are committing to doing all things for his glory, and doing all things with our whole hearts. But sometimes we fall short, we go halfway, and we continue to want the befits of a relationship with Christ without the commitment.

It’s easy to get caught up in the world around us when there are so many outlets that fight for our attention, but we get to choose how to respond. The way we respond to the people and the world around us matters, and we have a good and gracious God who has the words, the peace, and the understanding we need to do just that. We only need to ask him.

Catholicism isn’t the only religion with traditions, each denomination has its own rituals and ways of doing things, but at what point are these traditions taking the place or taking the focus off of a personal relationship with God? The election is over and we are ready to move forward, but now the real work begins. Reactions to the election were high highs and low lows and plenty of feelings in between. As we move forward, we ask you and we ask ourselves to check our hearts.

How we make decisions matters. Do make them right away? Do we consult God first? Do we just keep kicking it down the road? Or do we make the decision to do something and not follow through? However we decide, the way we make decisions reflects the walk we’re walking with Jesus. And that matters. Our brothers and sisters need to see us walking with the Lord.

Cell phones are a wonderful technological tool, but has it become more than that for you? It has for us! We reach for it first thing in the morning, and it’s usually the last thing we put down before we sleep. And we’re not even ready to know how many times we pick it up throughout the day. Join us today as we talk about our desires to put down our phone and to be present and ready for the people, blessings, and opportunities God has right in front of us.
