And wherever you are in your spiritual journey, there is good news! And the good news is where you are, God wants to meet you right there and help you get connected to Him!

But somewhere we've gotten the notion, some of us, that salvation is like signing up and paying for a fire insurance policy and you got that policy and you put it in your hip pocket and then you can live like hell but be certain of heaven.

What would you want people to say in their eulogy of you at your memorial service? And then the challenge is whatever it is that you want people to say about you, start living that way now so that will be the legacy that you leave.

To be a disciple was to be actively involved in the discipling process. So, a disciple was a learner or a follower, someone who was actually learning and someone who was actually following.

These are the three areas of a person's life that will most present themselves as an idol that would stop you from loving God with all your heart, soul mind and strength: your relationships with other people, people will use excuses, "oh, it's my family, my kids, my parents" and they wont follow Jesus. So Jesus says "you've got to love me more than that."

Jesus offers us a way of escape. It's called repentance. We either repent or we perish.

The gospel of Jesus is a gopsel of grace. We are saved not by our works but by the grace of Jesus Christ. But the following of Jesus Christ is a relationship where He is our master, He is our boss.

Because Jesus said we either do one of two things; we either fear God, confess Jesus and experience the help of the Holy Spirit or we fear man, we deny Jesus and we blaspheme the Holy Spirit.

And what Jesus essentially is saying; be on guard against pharisaicism, legalism and hypocrisy.

The means by which the light of Christ comes into your life needs to be maximized so that all the light of Chist can come in and enlighten all of your life.
