In this chapter, we observe King Hezekiah exhibiting characteristics more akin to a politician rather than the ideal monarch envisioned by divine authority. The prophet Isaiah told Hezekiah that he would die. Therefore, he needs to "set his house in order."

In 2 Kings 19 we will see the answer to the words of Rab-shakeh of Assyria. We will see Hezekiah's prayer, as well as the LORD's deliverance over the Assyrians.

In this chapter we will see a good king rise up in Judah. King Hezekiah "did that which was right in the sight of the LORD. according to all that David hid father did(2 Kings 18:2)." This king will lead a Reform and return to the LORD in Judah. King Hezekiah and his people will also face a great challenge as the King of Assyria comes against him.

There were nineteen kings who reigned in the Northern Kingdom of Israel. They all did evil in the sight of the LORD. This reign of rebellion of rebellion against the LORD will end as they are conquered and taken captive by the kingdom of Assyria.

In 2 Kings 16 we see the Reign of King Ahaz over the nation of Judah. Pastor Kevin Akana shares how this king sold out that which was good for that which was evil.

In this chapter we see the dynasty of Jehu's kingdom. This dynasty will only continue to the 4th generation. This is because, they continued to do evil in the eyes of the LORD. Therefore they embraced bondage.

In 2 Kings 12 we see the Reign of Joash. His Reign began when he was 7 years old. He had Jehoiada the priest as his mentor and counselor. Joash did right during Jehoiada's days. After Jehoiada's death this all changed.

As this chapter begins, we see an evil queen (Grandma) who seeks to destroy all the royal seed and future heirs to the kingdom of Judah. The youngest heir was hidden by a righteous woman (His Aunty). The true King would not be revealed until the people had made a commitment to him.
