We come to the end of the book in this chapter by chapter study of 1 Kings. We also see in this chapter the end of King Ahab. His end would come as God had said.

In this chapter we will see the theft and murder of Naboth and his vineyard. God will not allow these evil deeds to go unpunished.

In this chapter we see King Benhadad of Syria threatening King Ahab and Israel. We also see how Ahab responds to this confrontation.

In this chapter we see that the Prophet Elijah is discouraged and depressed. He feels like he is alone, and he wants God to kill him. We will see that he is not alone, and God is not finished with him. We will see how God answers and deals with this depressed Prophet.

In this chapter we will see some bad kings. We will also see the consequences and the consequences that will come because of these bad kings.

In this chapter we see the rebellion of kings continues in the northern kingdom. Later in this chapter we will see the reign of a good king in Judah, yet we will see how he falters as king.

In this chapter we see two bad kings. Jeroboam is king of the northern kingdom of Israel, and Rehoboam is king of the southern kingdom of Judah.

In chapter 12 we saw the kingdom was divided. In chapter 13 we will see how Jeroboam caused Israel to sin.
