The choices we make are very important. Solomon's decision to make "affinity with Pharaoh king of Egypt" was not a good one. A few verses later the LORD appears to Solomon in a dream. This time King Solomon made the right choice in asking for wisdom.

In this chapter of 1 Kings 2 David gives his son Solomon some words of advice before he passes away. There is also some unfinished business that David needs Solomon take care of for him.

In this chapter we will see a transition of power. David the king is old, and he will soon pass away. The chosen heir to the throne is Solomon, but in this chapter we will see another son who will seek to take the throne and the kingdom.
