Power With & Getting to Yes

Denis Postle is a filmmaker, author, group facilitator, therapist, practitioner supervisor, musician and founder of the Independent Practitioner Network.  He has directed over 30 TV films and written and published 5 books. 

Denis is currently working on his forthcoming film “Difficult Times: The Curse of Dominion - an Essay exploring the roots of the Climate Emergency and its trajectory”. 

I was a supervisory client of Denis for over 15 years.  His grasp of the Humanistic philosophy and his wise and skilful supervision helped me enormously in the evolving of my own practice.  One of the strong threads we explored together is power.  Power Over - Power With - and how our individual relationship with power is crucial to our ability to lead others both effectively and humanely.

Over the past couple of years the exercise of power has been a hot topic.  We each have our own opinions and viewpoints about how this has played out.  For leaders wishing to be ‘part of the solution’ to current global and local issues - ‘Power With’ is a hugely important notion.

The Art of Manifestation

Matt Cooke is a manifestation coach with a strong purpose in life to help and support others in their pursuit to secure their best life. 

He helps people step into the best version of themselves, by learning how to reprogram their subconscious mind in order to create a new personal reality.

A friend introduced me to Matt recently.  I was intrigued by his interesting choice to self-launch on a career as a manifestation coach at the age of 29 - and his courageous approach to sharing what he has to offer far and wide on social media.

Aligning With Our Values & Life Without a Tie

Ray Martin, aka The Daily Explorer, is an entrepreneur and award-winning business leader. 

As a coach, mentor, facilitator, speaker, writer, and mindfulness teacher, he is a torchbearer for greater human consciousness. 

He courageously explores both his external and internal world daily in pursuit of greater insight and wisdom about life, for himself and others.

Robert Gardner - Purpose Beyond Money & Doing What You Love

Robert Gardner is a financial expert, entrepreneur and activist for making money a force for good.  As St. James’s Place’s Director of Investments he is responsible for more than £150bn of clients’ wealth and helping more than 900k people plan for their retirement with peace of mind.

Rob has made it his life’s mission to elevate people and the planet alongside profits to create ‘financial wellbeing, in a world worth living in’.  He utilises his platform and the organisations he’s involved with to have a tangible impact on financial education and the climate crisis, as co-founder and Non-Executive Director of award-winning pensions firm Redington, the pension industry’s first social network, mallowstreet, and the financial education charity RedSTART.

In 2016 Rob wrote the children's book Save Your Acorns and is a GirlGuiding volunteer and advisor for financial education.  He also sits on various advisory boards and is regularly asked to speak about making money a force for good.  He has appeared on Sky News, BBC Radio, The Times, Daily Mail etc. and in 2017 he delivered a TEDx Talk called "If You Leave Your Children One Thing, Make It This".

Overwhelm & I Don't Have Time

Last week we talked about the importance of Strategic Self-Mastery.

For some of us - the first thought that comes up when we think about that is ‘I don’t have time!’ or ‘I’m overwhelmed’.

This can come up any time we meet a new opportunity that could be great for us.

Or - when we simply don’t want to do something - in which case - probably don’t do it!

In this episode we explore how our perception of time can be affected by all sorts of seemingly unassociated factors, how to attend to some of those factors, and why this is all quite important.
