As both a leader and a practitioner of many years standing, Martin’s perspective is of great value to leaders today.Martin is a Psychotherapist and Supervisor in private practice in West London UK.He was twice elected Chair of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy - the leading regulatory body for Psychotherapists and Counselling Psychotherapists.
He has been Chair of a major London School - The Minster Centre, and Chair of the Association for Humanistic Psychology.
Martin is a social entrepreneur having founded The Long Boat Home which offered low-cost therapy to veterans and their families and was a co-founder of the Merchants Group.
Martin has a Masters degree in Change Agents Skills and Strategies from the Human Potential Research Group of Surrey University (an early degree in Consultancy and Coaching). He also holds a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy from The Metanoia Institute.
For 21 years he lived and worked within a spiritual/ business community. As head of Marketing and Communications there he won 21 national creative awards and built (with others) an international Marketing organisation. In 1996 he sold his shares in the company and left to study. He has been a consultant to companies like Lloyds Bank (treasury), Compaq British Midlands, and Shell.

This week I share with you my recent guest appearance on Leadership Luminaries, expertly hosted by Michael Banks.We spend a lot of time working, in fact the average full-time employee works around 37 hours every week. We dedicate much of our awake time and energy to work. So why allegedly do only 27% of people feel their employer really cares about their overall wellbeing? What are we doing wrong and how can we fix it?My conversation with Michael Banks explores an expanded view of organisational wellbeing and vitality. Going beyond the more formulaic and programmatic approach to this important, and highly relevant topic, I suggest that well-being is more of a ‘state’ than a set of ‘one size fits all’ best practices.
I talk about the organisational diagnostic model I co-designed with Professor Paul Tosey of Surrey University. It’s called the Seven Energy Levels and is based upon the Hindu and Buddhist system of seven chakras or energy centres. In this way a ‘well being and vitality journey’ can be developed that is tailored to each unique organisation.

Over the last thirty years she has held a number of senior pensions management roles with HSBC, EMI, Motorola and Reed Elsevier among others. Lesley was an independent member of Prudential's Independent Governance Committee and Master Trust Board and Chair of the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association.
Lesley's particular interest is in demonstrating how strong governance and engaging communications contributes to better outcomes in workplace pension schemes.

Tim Broughton has an extraordinary sensitivity to the human condition, and a profound understanding of the gifts and challenges of relating. He has a unique perspective - that I believe is highly relevant for leaders - especially now as leaders are called to incorporate more compassion and sensitivity.
