  • Suicide
In this episode, John Unger sits down with Pastor Cogbill and Pastor Ahlenius to answer a listener question regarding suicide. What does the Bible say about the taking of one's own life? Is despair or depression inherently sinful? How can we minister to people who are deeply sad, or suicidal, or have actually attempted to kill themselves? What hope can we offer family, friends, and fellow believers when someone they know has taken their own life?

  • A Christ-Like Christian
Pastor Jeremiah Gabbard | Actst 11:19-26 This sermon defines the characteristics of a genuine believer by examining the early church in Antioch as recorded in Acts 11. It argues that a Christ-like Christian must possess a heart grounded in devotion to the Lord, doctrine anchored in biblical truth rather than situational ethics, and a life that visibly reflects Christ to the world. The speaker warns against emotionalism and entertainment-driven worship, emphasizing that sound teaching and faithful obedience are essential for spiritual stability. By contrasting true discipleship with superficial association, the message calls believers to examine their own commitment and ensure their lives serve as evidence of their faith. Ultimately, the goal is for Christians to be conduits for God's work rather than obstacles in a corrupt world.

  • Every Person Answerable to God
The sermon examines Ezekiel 18 to dismantle the excuse that individuals suffer for the sins of their ancestors, establishing that every soul is personally accountable to God. It highlights the theological truth that righteousness cannot be inherited and guilt cannot be transferred, emphasizing that each person stands alone before divine judgment. The passage reveals God's desire for repentance rather than condemnation, promising a new heart and spirit through the New Covenant. This Old Testament command finds its fulfillment in the New Birth described by Jesus, offering hope beyond human effort. The message concludes with an urgent call to cease blaming others and to actively pursue a life of continuous repentance and faith in Christ.

  • How to Comfort In the Kingdom
Comfort in the Kingdom Let's Summarize The Message "Comfort in the Kingdom" teaches that biblical comfort is much deeper than simply feeling comfortable or having our circumstances improved. Earthly comforts—food, warmth, home, rest, familiar surroundings—may soothe us temporarily, but kingdom comfort strengthens us to remain faithful to Jesus in the middle of hardship. God does not always remove the trouble; often He comforts us by giving us truth, people, perspective, courage, and hope so we can stand in it. Using 1 Thessalonians, the message shows how remarkable the work of grace is experienced and expressed among the church at Thessalonica. Paul had only a short time with them before persecution forced him away, yet they flourished because the gospel had genuinely transformed them. They learned quickly that following Christ would include affliction, but they also possessed the great hope woven through the entire letter: Jesus came, Jesus saved them, and Jesus is coming again. The message highlights seven expressions of kingdom comfort: 1. Tender and tough instruction — 1 Thessalonians 2:7–12. Paul ministered like both a nursing mother and a faithful father. He invited people close, instructed them in truth, and showed them by his own life how to walk with God. True discipleship is not merely giving information; it is saying, "Come walk with me. Let me show you how this truth works in life." The hunting experiences with Nate illustrate this: some things cannot merely be explained—they have to be learned by walking beside someone and putting truth into practice. 2. Trustworthy fellowship in the gospel — 1 Thessalonians 3:1–5. Because Paul was concerned about the

  • O God, Thou Art My God (Remastered)
Adversity is the quickest way to reveal the value of one's faith. What are Christians like when they find themselves in the wilderness of suffering? In this sermon on Psalms 63:1–3 titled "O God, Thou Are My God," Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones examines David's prayer as he turns to God in the midst of trouble. Dr. Lloyd-Jones demonstrates a core Biblical truth: adversity always drives the true believer to God. In times of suffering, the non-Christian is annoyed and curses God. In contrast, the believer has just the opposite response. He turns to God. Dr. Lloyd-Jones explains that this is because the true believer has discovered God's lovingkindness to be better than life. Like a love-sick person, the believer is satisfied with nothing this world can give and is utterly miserable without God's love. But with God, they can face anything. Nothing compares in value to God's lovingkindness. Listen and find complete satisfaction in this intimate knowledge of God. The psalmist's response to adversity should also be that of the Christian with lips that should praise Him. Rejoice in God. He will never let His child go.
