  • Look • Remember • Do
Look • Remember • Do Numbers 15:37–41 Central Truth: God has redeemed us to belong to Him, remember His Word, and walk in obedience so that His life may be manifested through us. This message explores how God instructed Israel to live as His redeemed people while journeying through the wilderness. Despite witnessing His deliverance and provision, they repeatedly allowed their fears, desires, and circumstances to become more authoritative than His Word. In Numbers 15, God instructed the Israelites to place tassels with blue threads on their garments. These were visible reminders with a specific purpose: Look upon them, remember His commandments, and do them. This simple progression was intended to keep their hearts directed toward the Lord rather than following the natural inclinations of their own hearts and eyes. The message develops several important truths: • Our choices affect future generations. Although each person is accountable for their own sin, the consequences of our decisions can reach far beyond our lifetime. We must demonstrate God's faithfulness and teach the next generation to trust Him personally. • Faith trusts God's report above circumstances. Ten spies allowed what they saw in Canaan to determine what they believed. Joshua and Caleb allowed what God had spoken to determine how they understood what they saw. • Obedience requires submission to God's Word. Israel refused to enter Canaan when God commanded them to go and then attempted to enter when He commanded them not to. Both decisions revealed the same self-directed rebellion. • God's Word establishes enduring hope. Caleb held to the promise God spoke through Moses for forty-five years. His

  • Grace for Grace (sermon 2087)
Do we really dwell upon the fullness of God's love for us in Christ? How much have we grasped the freeness of divine grace? In a sermon of almost relentless focus and intensity, Spurgeon insists upon the freeness of God's grace, of his grace upon grace. He first considers the things the things which are freely given to us by God, ranging across salvation in all its fulness, and concluding with the crowning blessing, which is God giving himself—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—to his chosen ones. However, there is grace upon grace, for not only are these things given, but God also gives us the power to receive them! We could never have grasped these blessings unless the Lord in his mercy had given us grace to receive his grace. However, there is again grace upon grace, for not only do we receive grace to receive grace, but the Spirit also graciously gives us the knowledge of these things, a saving, experiential knowledges of them. With this goes a particular warning, too, about the spirit of the world which contends against the Spirit of God, a spirit which we cannot entertain if we are to receive these blessings. So we come into true possession of "the things that have been freely given to us by God" (1Cor 2:12).

  • Sanctification: God’s Ongoing Work of Making Us Like Christ
When God saves a sinner, He immediately forgives, justifies, and reconciles that person to Himself. Yet the Christian life also includes the lifelong work of sanctification. God steadily grows His people in holiness and conforms them to the image of His Son. In this episode, Dave Jenkins explains the difference between justification and sanctification, the believer's active pursuit of holiness, and the Spirit-empowered growth that marks the Christian life. Sanctification is not self-improvement or sinless perfection. It is God's faithful work of making His people increasingly like Christ. • Anxiety: Your Feelings Are Not More Reliable Than God
Many believers struggle with anxiety and feelings, losing sleep because they trust their own emotions over the promises of God. In this sermon, Pastor Richard Caldwell addresses how to overcome worry biblically by examining the root of our fears and recognizing that uncontrolled anxiety is often a sin of pride. True comfort and Christian living require us to preach the objective truth of Scripture to our hearts, acknowledging that God is sovereign and entirely good. By humbling ourselves and giving our worries to Him, we can find genuine rest in His unshakeable love.

Kingdom Evers Message Summary Primary Scripture: Proverbs 22:17–21 Central Truth: An ever-since moment with Jesus produces a lifetime of ever leaning, listening, learning, longing, loving, living, and leading others to Him. This message begins with the glorious truth of propitiation: only God can satisfy God. Fallen humanity cannot satisfy God's righteous demands through personal goodness or religious efforts. Through His perfect, atoning, substitutionary sacrifice, Jesus accomplished what sinners could never accomplish for themselves. His blood satisfies God's righteous judgment and demonstrates His extraordinary love. We are the beneficiaries of His grace! Proverbs 21:2 and 8 reveal the problem of fallen humanity. Man's way is crooked, yet he believes himself to be right. We desperately need God's truth to expose our condition and His wisdom to direct our lives. James 3:13–18 shows us how to recognize that wisdom. Wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits. It produces humility, teachability, and right conduct. True wisdom is not merely something we know; it becomes visible in how we live. Proverbs 22:17–21 reveals the purpose of God's instruction. We are commanded to incline our ears, apply our hearts, keep His truth within us, and establish it upon our lips. Why? So that our trust may be in the Lord and we may be equipped to answer others with words of truth. Joshua 1:8–9 reinforces this pattern: meditate upon God's Word, obey His instruction, and trust His presence. Caleb illustrates its lifelong impact. At 85 years old, he was still trusting what God had spoken 45 years earlier. His ever-since mom

  • More Than Enough
If we fail to understand the truth of what Jesus has done for us, we will continue living as though we are still slaves to sin and self. The blood of Jesus has not only forgiven us all of our individual sins, but has also legally separated us from our servitude to sin itself. The chains to our previous enslavement are broken.

  • Delivered to Depend
Delivered to Depend Delivered, Yet Still Learning to Depend Numbers 7–13 Central Truth: God delivered Israel from Egypt, but He was still teaching them how to depend upon Him. His provisions were never intended to replace His presence, His promises, or His Word. This message follows Israel's preparation and early journey through the wilderness, revealing how God organized, guided, provided for, and corrected His redeemed people. By comparing the dates in Exodus and Numbers, we discover that God established the tabernacle, assigned responsibilities, and prepared the congregation before directing them to move. The cloud, silver trumpets, and tribal standards reminded Israel that they were not free to determine their own direction. They were to move when God said move, remain when He said remain, and faithfully fulfill the responsibilities He had given them. Yet, almost immediately, the people began complaining. Although God faithfully supplied manna, they became dissatisfied and longed for the food of Egypt. Deuteronomy 8 reveals that the manna was more than a meal; it was God's way of teaching them that life depends upon every word that proceeds from His mouth. Their craving for quail exposed a deeper problem. Psalm 106 explains that God gave them what they demanded but sent leanness into their souls. They received what they wanted, but their desires were pulling them away from the One they needed. The message challenges us to consider what we are exhausting ourselves to obtain and whether God's gifts have become more important to us than God Himself. The Lord also demonstrated His faithfulness by appointing seventy elders to help Moses carry the burden of leadership
