"Twice I was slotted to offer a prayer for seminary graduates, and each time I asked God’s blessing “that the men gathered here today would be manly, and the women womanly.” I think it struck a fair number of attendees as odd if not inappropriate. What sort of stereotypes was I pushing?"

"Christianity isn’t necessarily the “spoiler of true faith” that it’s often made out to be. In fact, cultural conformity to biblical morality can even work as the catalyst to help an unbeliever realize that they need Christ. "

"The Bible is a hard book. Which means all Christians need help studying it. And this means we need resources. Many Christians turn to a Bible “commentary” when studying a book of the Bible—referring to an entire book written on a particular biblical book.

However, choosing such a commentary is a problem, largely because they vary in quality."

"As a woman, I trust God and trust the way He has structured His Church is good. In 1 John 5:3, John proclaims, “…this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.” It should not be a burden for a Christian woman to keep this command of Christ of only men fulfilling the pastoral role."

"I was glad to learn of RZ’s idea for a reconquista. It gives a name to what I’ve been trying to do all these years. Nothing violent, nothing coercive, just my mild-mannered insistence that the Bible says what it means and means what it says and that any church worthy of the name ought to be able to affirm this (and the creeds) without crossing its fingers behind its back. Otherwise, go play golf."
