Welcome to Truthspresso Express! This is where I record an episode on my commute to or from work.
In this episode of Truthspresso Express I discuss my understanding of what Acts 22:16 means when it says "Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins." The Greek verbs may tell a different story than we think.
Welcome to Truthspresso Express! This is where I record an episode on my commute to or from work.
In this episode of Truthspresso Express I use some notes I had prepared for the recent Theology Throw Down in case "Exclusive Psalmody" was an issue. Since no one in our discussion held to Exclusive Psalmody, I present my questions and challenges to it in this episode.
Check out the Theology Throw Down discussion on Music - What Should We Think About It?
My wife Chelsea and I cover a hodgepodge of three recent news events:
Chelsea and I observe the common thread of "courage" in these three situations for those who stand up for truth against enemies of life.

Welcome to Truthspresso Express! This is where I record an episode on my commute to or from work.
In this episode of Truthspresso Express I discuss my understanding of what 1 Peter 3:21 means when it says "baptism also now saves us." I taught this as part of a Sunday School lesson on 1 Peter chapter 3 years ago. I also presented this explanation in response to a Lutheran named Evan in a Facebook thread.
Welcome to Truthspresso Express! This is where I record an episode on my commute to or from work.
In this first episode of Truthspresso Express I address a Facebook friend's question for advice about finding a wife and having children.
My wife Chelsea and I finish our two-part series on the abortion pill regimen (mifepristone and misoprostol).
We trace the history of the abortion pill from when it was first approved by the FDA to the current push to distribute it to the masses by mail.
The abortion industry claims the abortion pill is "safer than Tylenol." Of course we know it's not "safe" for the baby that's murdered, but we show from the statistics that it's not safe for women either. As the rate of deaths increased over the second decade, we expect deaths to skyrocket from mail-in abortions.
We finish the episode by talking about our recent experience doing sidewalk messages at a Planned Parenthood.

My wife Chelsea joins me again as I have officially upgraded her title to "co-host."
We take a break from our series on marriage to talk about recent politics behind the abortion pill and the push to make it widely accessible by mail.

My wife Chelsea joins me to continue our series talking about marriage.
This episode concludes a multi-part series within the series to evaluate the book Created To Be His Help Meet by Debi Pearl.
Chelsea and I agree that any good points in this book are drowned out by what we consider dangerous and unbiblical ideas of marriage. Although there is a proper understanding of wives submitting to husbands, we believe this book takes the idea to an unhealthy extreme.
The book denigrates women by defining their role as lifelong slaves to men.
The book denigrates men by relegating them to base impulses and domineering.
In part 3 of our review, we examine Debi's idea of the wife's responsibility with the Biblical understanding that a "heavenly marriage" requires both husband and wife to do their part. We see Debi's shocking advice for dealing with an abusive husband and expecting a wonderful marriage after the husband spends up to 20 years in jail. As the Pearls seem to believe divorce can't possibly be an option when the husband is a criminal, we see what the Bible has to say.

In part 2 of our review, we look at what the Hebrew word for "help meet" means. We then see how Debi Pearl makes the wife bear all responsibility for a cheating husband. We see how Debi berates a woman for disobeying her husband's commands to take birth control when she believed it causes murder. We examine her three types of men and put especially "Mr. Command Man" to the test of Scripture.

In part 1 of our review, we address Debi Pearl's story of how she and Michael got married. We also examine a strange "trash bag" story that we believe is rather unhelpful.
