In this week’s episode the crew gets together to discuss #Equiano #Stories, currently available for viewing #exclusively on #Instagram. Yup IG is the new #DSP. The film is shot in first person gorilla camera style. It tells the story of #OlaudahEquianoaka #GustavusVassa who was captured as a child and sold into slavery. It’s not the typical #trauma #porn angle as there is a redemption side to his story that speaks of his successes post slavery and how he helped many other #Africans escape persecution. Beyond the stories, is the manner in which its being deliver. Being exclusively on Instagram allowed the stories to reach a wide audience and at different ages and background. It’s success could be yet another revolution in media that will disrupt the status quo. Let us know your thoughts.
