Sabres Play by Play man Dan Dunleavy joins TSN to give his take on the Sabres' summer. He believes the club has done a good job of improving their team in the off season. Dunleavy outlined goal scoring as a major need for Buffalo next campaign.

Eddie Lack and DC United Play by play Dave Johnson joined the show.

DCU play-by-play man Dave Johnson joins TSN 1040 to give an update on Wayne Rooney's status for the match in Vancouver. He believes Rooney will play, but maybe not as a starter. Johnson focused on Rooney's professionalism since coming to MLS, refusing preferential treatment. He also outlined that not all MLS teams need a big money signing to be successful but it does help to draw in the casual fans.

Former Canucks goalie Eddie Lack joins TSN 1040 to talk about the current state of his career. Lack believes the busy NHL schedule over the last few years has worn his body down. He says young goalies need to learn the 'butterfly technique' earlier as opposed to later in their careers. Lack also keyed in on consistent rest for goaltenders to stay fresh and fit. He also said Luongo is a class act and deserves his jersey retirement. He reflected on the Heritage Classic situation, calling it "hard".

Ben Kuzma joined the show.

Ben Kuzma of The Province talks all things Canucks. Kuzma wants to see more Demko next season, especially with Markstrom's contract up at year-end. He also believes Eddie Lack's personality made him fun for media but perhaps was viewed different in the locker room.

Jon Calvano joins to promote the 'Boys of Summer', a new summer hockey league in Vancouver, similar to Da Beauty league in Minnesota. It will donate profits to local charities. The league will include players such as Jake Virtanen, Nick Petan, Matt Barzal + more NHLers!
