The Province's Jason Botchford says in the beginning, the collective plan from Trevor Linden and Jim Benning was to facilitate a quick turnaround and make a push in the Sedin's final seasons. Jason says Linden's mind changed about 18 months ago, where he wanted to have a slower rebuild. Jason adds this was never going to end well and that a joke around the league is that there are three things you can count on - death, taxes and things are going to end badly with the Aquilini's.
