Tteok Show

Nicholas Makoto and I talk about our "guilty pleasures" - movies that we thought were great but others seemed to hate or weren't impressed by them. There shouldn't be any spoilers, but we do talk about details of the movies! Check out my instagram post to see a snippet of the films we'll be talking about today :D (https://www.instagram.com/bellethefreeelf/)

You can find me on Twitter (@TteokShow) and on Instagram (@bellethefreeelf). Music is "Could I get you a drink?" and "Time to go home" by Fernice Goh (ig: @fer_nicemusic).

(if you're here for Nat's interview, it starts at 29:50!)

Grace Charis and I are back to talk about the finale of Record of Youth. Is Sa Hye-jun too stubborn? Was the ending disappointing? Tune in to find out what we and the Internet think! This week, I've also included an interview with Natalie Lim - a creative who grew up in an Asian family. Tune in at 29:50 to hear our interview with her!

Nat is a dancer, and you can find her on Instagram @_natalielim and on YouTube (Natalie Lim/ Nat Pilates - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8-oTYRlSvmT5DntzTmxc4g). Grace is a musician! "Opppaaaaaaa!!!!" - Ahn Jeong-ha (2020). I've invited Grace Charis to talk about episodes 1-11 of Record of Youth. We'll be talking about why we like Record of Youth (2020) so much, which characters we can relate to, and of course our experiences as young adults in the creative industry. There shouldn't be any spoilers, but if we accidentally spoiled (we're sorry)... Look forward to part 2 of this podcast!

How YOU doin'? Took a short break, but I'm back with new ideas, new shows to review, unfortunately I don't have new friends - but I think I'm getting better at this podcasting thing. Kinda.

To kick off season 2 of Tteok Show, I've invited my OG guest Jacq (@jacqhx). We tell you what's our #1 top rated K-dramas and why YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO WATCH THEM.

Also yeah Jacq says *September in the podcast. That's cause we recorded in September but I hadn't got my life together yet back then. Leave me alone ._. Immense gratefulness to Fernice Goh, Deborah Eu, and of course Jacqueline Tan. Y'all da best.

We've finished our review on Hospital Playlist - now what? Today's episode is very different! I've invited my friend Grace Charis Tan and we're going to be groovin' to some songs from our teens (2000s).  Due to copyright and limited time, it pains us that we could only choose a few songs to cover :( We still hope you enjoy the covers!

This episode is also the end of Tteok Show's season 1! Thank you for everyone's support, but I gotta take a short break to apply for jobs and stuff :( When I get back though, I promise you guys that I'll work hard to upload even better content. Till then, please be patient and wait for my return (cue "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion)

I've been working so hard on this podcast that I'm beginning to have dreams in a hospital #send #help. I'm finally able to do research for this episode and - what's this about people being disappointed with Hospital Playlist? Tune in to find out :)

Today's podcast is part 3 of my Hospital Playlist review, guest starring soon-to-be Dr. Crystal Lee!

This episode, I've again referenced a fellow Kdrama reviewer, Dani. Check out Dani's super in-depth analyses on social media (Twitter: @namjhyuns; Tumblr: namjhyun.tumblr.com).

This week's music, "Lonely Night" by Kwon Jin-ah, was proudly produced by my talented friend, Grace Tan (Ig: @tinygracesings)!

Today's podcast is part 2 of my Hospital Playlist review, guest starring soon-to-be Dr. Crystal Lee! We're still not done with the series yet, so I can't do any research... Nonetheless! These episodes were quite interesting, and so we've made some predictions and expectations for the final arc.

I referenced some thoughts from a fellow Kdrama reviewer, Dani. She's more in-depth in her analysis than I am. You can find Dani on social media (Twitter: @namjhyuns; Tumblr: namjhyun.tumblr.com).
