Several ideas have informed the creation of this piece. The verse in Isaiah that mentions the worth that God has in those who are called by his name and who position themselves to speak and act on his behalf.

The readiness of the maker to put the lives of others at stake in protection of his people should constrain us in a place of gratitude as ambassadors of a greater Kingdom and drive us towards an evangelical life.

We talk about this verse and other issues including the role that giving has in keeping us submitted and humble.

I use a recent experience to illustrate the importance of these and other words.

This has taken me a while to process. Sometimes i am overwhelmed by a sense of unworthiness. And why not? Are any of us ever going to fully be in a place where we qualify to speak for the Great God? Is not heaven's great victory the fact that our savior was found worthy? Worthy to open the scrolls of mystery and to bring about the fulfilment of all creations desire?

Here i want to explore the characters of Elijah and Daniel and some of the favorite scriptures especially those who like to think in terms of the end of days. What does it mean to embrace and enjoy the privilege that Daniel speaks of whe he says that the people who know their Gods shall be strong and do exploits? Also how can operate in the same power as people like Elijah who were used to confront the darkness in their times across the highest levels of leadership in their nations?

In a conversation with Pastor Mabel Mugarura we talk about her upcoming book as she prepares to host her guests at the Book Launch.

The book is delivered in about 5 chapters each carrying an area which she believes is critical in charting a prophetic path for women.

I was curious about a few questions which I asked such as notable reference material in her book on personalities that helped define some of the major ideas that she was seeking to convey.

Second what unique message we as men can gather as we raise a new generation of women leaders.

The excitement about the book on a personal level was based on the ideas that Mary for example was told about a burden she would have to bear in raising the God Child. Imagine having to discipline God! We see some of these tensions expressed when Jesus as a young boy is separated from his earthly parents. On inquiry His response was astonishing,

This idea has been on my heart for quite a while. You need to visit a restaurant with good service to Understand the difference between waiting for someone and waiting upon them. One speaks of passivity while the other is more active and anticipatory or as they say these days Proactive.

It is a knowledge about your guest, a familiarity not in a bad way but in with the ability to know what they need when they want it. It is a studying of behavior and needs an active listening over along time where you know those dishes that evoke memory and getting the presentation just right.

If you watch Ratatouille the Cartoon this will make more sense. In short a food critic whose reputation has him placed amongst the worst personalities in his filed visits a small restaurant only to find a smart little mouse with a knowledge of his history. The little creature goes on to help prepare a meal that transports the food connoisseur into a childhood experience that completely transforms him.

The podcast is therefore an exploration of this idea of waiting and what we can do while we are waiting.

Found an amazing piece from Instagram talking about the relationship between Joseph and His brothers and the enmity between them which led to the sale of Joseph into slavery in Egypt. She presents the story in such an inquisitive manner as though she does not believe it. You are taken on a journey with her through the overwhelming evidence that seems to point to the impossibility or the odds that are stacked up against any of this being true and how it unfolds through the ages from Pre-Egyptian times to the reign of David and Solomon to the Split in the kingdom and finally the captivity. It is here that a prophecy is introduced almost detailing to the very letter what will happen to the promised Messiah in his betrayal to the eventual uniting of the scattered and divided Nation of Israel. I use this material to try to connect these prophecies with blessings first from Jacob to his sons and then to Moses with the tribes and finally small bits about Balaam and Balak.

In this episode we want to talk about the law and its effect on the person of faith. This is controversial because of the doctrine of Grace. We use the story of Daniel for some of the heart of the discussion while examining the effect of the law on God’s people and their relationship with it. We also mentions a Psalm of David relating to the law…one of many where it’s effectiveness in protecting the people of God is further emphasized. We also bring in an important personality-Balaam Son of Beor. He is introduced in the book of Numbers and further referred to rather unfortunately as one who is notorious for having caused God people to falter. We attempt to balance the needs of the law with the opportunities that exist in the Grace of God. Finally we make reference to boundaries which are at the heart of the law.

In the episode we attempt to make some connections between the Church of God and the Traditional People of God. We use the teachings of Paul the Apostle where he mentions the idea that the Church was actually grafted into the Kingdom of God through the Jewish People. We talk about the role that Paul Sees for the Church in the last days. We begin though by talking about short walk through history to recognize and understand how the historical record helps define the relationship between these two groups. Finally we make the link between the two with the Old Testament Prophets Elijah and Elisha. A key ida that stands out is the Rapture of the Church.

n this episode we explore the complex subject of sacrifice. This has so many applications from politics to religion to family. Most of our governments especially those that were established post colonialism are still struggling with a ruling class that feels like it invested more in the liberation of its people. You see the same concerns within companies whose founders for example originate from families. When liberations struggles are no longer the currency, the battle moves to those who are more willing to engage through non violent means-in this case demonstrations. Either way there will always be those who feel like they have payed a bigger role than others. What does sacrifice have to do with the faith? We look at this too. This episode is really an examination of the subject as told by a Star Wars Spin off called Andor. The conversation between the protagonist and a central character is the source of this podcast and the discussion about Sacrifice.

There are a few examples describing how people find Jesus. In this episode of the TTRT Podcast we look at a few of them and define key ideas that should help us understand what our own journey might be. While in various stages of our lives we often despised those who attempted to bring us to the savior there are quite a number of examples of people who were used by God to draw us to His son.

That said the question still remains…do we find God or does he find us?
