Its been a long time coming. In the late nineties, my pastors in Texas had created an end year event where they gave us direction for the coming year. Its been about 20 years since i had something similar although in Uganda it is a common practice now for leaders to set the spiritual pace for the year.

Around January this verse came to me and all i did was just google it. The response was astounding. This is for me but if any part of it resonates with you, i encourage you to take it to heart. I guess what we need to avoid is the tendency to think that we have no capacity on our own of hearing from our maker and receiving direction for us and trhose we love. So this podcsst is an exploration of what it means to have the Hand of the Lord on one’s life. There are many interesting names that are used to talk about the champion of our faith. Some of these names were found in prophetic scripture ages before he appared on earth. For some both beforecand when he is described as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, for others he is the King of the Jews, for others he was and is the Healer, others describe him as the Son of God, still others call him the Lion of The Tribe of Judah. Each of these names have deeper implications. Notable is the idea that in the Old Testament GOD was decribed himself as I am That I am. Later those who interacted with him understood that He was all encompassing. He is what you need Him to be. As the Son of David though it is interesting when you utilize the 23rd Psalm where the humble King describes the Lord as his shephard. This is therefore the weight of the ideas that are discussed in Lydia Labanya’s book where he gives the reader keys that will help in the faith journey with the CHRIST serving as ones shepherd.
