It all started innocently enough, my nephew told me to shave my legs so I could “see my muscle definition” at the gym. Sounded reasonable… until I actually tried it. Cut to me in the shower, covered in shaving foam, questioning my life choices as if I’d just joined a strange spa cult.

But wait it gets weirder. Later that day, I went to my friend’s place. She’d just had a gummy bear from L.A. (you already know where this is going) and then asked to do something to me that made me seriously wonder if she’d transcended reality.

From silky legs to suspicious requests, this episode is pure chaos, mild trauma, and a lot of laughs.

This week I’ve recruited my mate Dan  aka Dan the Man, aka the human tennis encyclopedia, aka the guy who probably knows what Roger Federer had for breakfast in 2007. He’s joining me as co-host because why not, and also because he’s a genius (but humble about it… kind of).

I tell Dan the true story of when I moved to the Big Smoke at 18, got my first proper job, and bought a suit that made me feel like a young Harvey Specter. Life was going great… until the incident the following week (yes, there were consequences… and yes, they were hilarious).

Then we jump to present day where I just received a fine in the mail that turned out to be a scam but not before I fully spiralled. And somehow that led me to tell Dan about the time I had a very Forgetting Sarah Marshall-esque experience on Bondi Beach… minus the Hawaiian shirts but plus a weird European man and a borrowed towel.

It’s chaotic. It’s true. It’s got scam mail, Bondi tales, and a suspiciously confident 18-year-old in a $199 suit.

This week on True Tall Tales, we’re dialing in across the globe! I’m joined by our hilarious co-host Tess, live from Canada (yep we’re spanning continents now, baby).

You ever have one of those weeks where the universe just goes, “buckle up, mate”? I tell Tess all about how a random convo in an infrared sauna turned into one of the strangest full-circle moments. Turns out, the  guy I was chatting with in the infared sauna was the same guy who heckled me three weeks earlier at a chicken wing eating competition I was hosting in Sydney! Wild, right?

But here’s the kicker, he turned out to be an absolute legend. So legendary, in fact, that he gifted us with a jaw-dropping story (with full permission to share) about his mate who had a very unexpected wake-up call in a Thai hostel… involving bunk beds, slurping noises, and a very cheeky monkey. 

It’s one of those episodes where you laugh, cringe, and maybe even wonder if the universe is having a laugh too.
