Middle Saturday. What’s up today? First on court, Boulter against Tan. Then there’s Broady against De Minaur. That’s even before the Centre Court opens with teenage sensation Coco Gauff against Amanda Anisimova. Later, Nadal is in action.
Coco is already a media favourite and tipped for stardom. She’s hot news. Earlier, recording a tribute for the departing BBC celebrity Sue Barker, Coco engagingly confused her mission with wishing all the best to Star Wars character Chewbacca.
Eventually Kyrgios wins the strictly come meltdown contest. Meanwhile, Nadal has won comfortably. Maybe the BBC understands what its Saturday night viewers like.
