There's a lot to cover, but it's in this weird window where we're all still suffering from some sort of Thanksgiving hangover & people are starting to lose their jobs. 

The biggest of the news, obviously, is John Bonamego getting the boot after this year's 1-11 record, which was really bad. Sounds like there's more to the situation than just football reasons. But Mike Neu isn't leaving Ball State, so that's good for them. What's not good for Ball State is Riley Neal & James Gilbert both transferring. That's bad, probably.

A MAC title game preview episode will come later, but for now, let's form a political party.

Note: It's Thanksgiving week, so we're going to be busy. That means instead of doing bi-weekly episodes, we're just going to cram in all we can into one episode a week. Nothing permanent.

It's Thanksgiving week and we're all hoping that the side dish of Buffalo vs. Bowling Green ends up being chaotic in the best/worst way possible. Ohio and Miami are still in it, but those two have to scoreboard-watch Carl Pelini shoot for his third straight win with the Falcons. 

All the games, though, look like straight chalk. WMU-NIU should be close, but other than that, things look like they should be very one-sided. 

Don't drink and drive.

Of course, the title of this truly matters if, and only if, Buffalo loses to Bowling Green *next week*, but that'd be a fun way to reverse-engineer the East standings.

Chuck Martin finally wins a big rivalry game and... dude, really? You celebrate by bashing on the [weeknight] fans, the conference and the "cheap" schools? The maturity is obvious. 

But yeah, Miami finally beat Ohio without an offensive TD in the second half, NIU curb-stomped Toledo, but that's not even close to what came of the EMU-Akron game. 

Buffalo won big, no surprise there.

That was quite the week of MACtion. Tuesday football finally came around with a high-scoring affair between Buffalo & Miami. The Bulls control its own destiny with the 51-42 win, a much-needed result to try and win the East. 

Those efforts were followed up with Ohio absolutely demolishing WMU on the road, which has serious ripple effects for both divisions. This was a rather telling crossover game for the MAC, and the NIU-Akron game was also telling in its unique way. 

Wait, how many turnovers did Toledo-Ball State have?

After a lighter week of MAC football content, we finally have some branding coming our way with Tuesday-night football! The ultimate power move in the name of branding was having Kent State vs. Bowling Green be primetime, weeknight television. Two games then, one Wednesday, two Thursday, then the EMU vs. CMU matchup in Ypsilanti on Saturday.

This week's bound to be super butt, and that's mainly the cause of two factors:

1. There are two non-conference games happening in late October (Army at EMU, NIU at BYU). 

2. Most of the MAC East is on bye to prepare for next week's Tuesday slate (BGSU, Kent State, Buffalo and Miami). 

But hey, at least we have CMU vs. Akron to look forward to on Saturday!

Thursday we have a pair of games, but only one is worth watching, which is Toledo at WMU. Are the Rockets toast? At QB, there doesn't seem to be an answer. This isn't the time of year where we should be asking that of Toledo, but here we are.

Welp, that was probably the easiest of weeks to predict. Western blew out Central. Even moreso for BG over Ohio. Buffalo gassed Toledo. Eastern dominated at Ball State. Akron (barely) won its game over Kent State, in a game that obviously had to end in overtime because — *clears throat* — NOBODY SCORED IN THE FOURTH FREAKING QUARTER?! 

Still wasn't as wild as that Miami-Army finish in double overtime. Justin, how many plays did Miami run in the fourth quarter?
