But all of that cunts for nothing now as both sides can go in to this with realistic expectations of winning the match, especially the home side who have made an unbeaten start to the season despite being one of those in the conversation for the drop before a ball was kicked.
But Burnley on the other hand have stuttered so far this season, and although there have been some signs that things could be about top click for the Clarets, Vincent Kompany's men have yet to kick start their season.

Despite the panic on the socials Burnley have had an OK start to the season. They've dominated possession in every game and been the better side on overall balance of play for all three too.
The issue so far is putting the ball in the back of the net, will the goals come as the team plays together more? Time will tell, but two home games in a week against Blackpool and Hull City gives us the perfect chance to kick start the season

Burnley face their toughest test of the season so far when they travel to Vicarage Road to take on Watford, who of course were relegated from the Premier League alongside the Clarets last season.
Both teams have a new manager, both teams are still settling into life in the Championship, but the Hornets are the side that have managed to keep hold of their Premier League stars, such as Sarr & Dennis, meaning the Clarets inexperienced back line will likely face a tough afternoon.

Burnley could only pick up a point on Vincent Company's first home game as Burnley boss after being frustrated by a battling Luton Town side at Turf Moor.
A frustrating first-half performance from the Clarets meant they went into the break a goal down, but a half-time change from Kompany, which saw new man Manuel Benson given his first minutes, was the catalyst in getting Burnley back into it through Josh Brownhill.

The Vincent Kompany era got off to a very impressive start at the John Smith's Stadium as Burnley dominated last season's Championship playoff finalists Huddersfield Town.
It was only 1-0 but in truth it could and and should have been more, with Barnes, Roberts and Twine all missing chances to put the game to bed.
But the first half especially was brilliant by Burnley who passed Huddersfield to death and pressed the life out of them when they had the ball - it was a completely different Clarets side than what we're used to, but we're here for it.
