Karen gives a brief background of this story. She had planned to travel to Mexico City to celebrate her friend’s Quinceeanera, and, although she was unable to attend, she was inspired to write about this special 15th birthday, the transition to womanhood, for her friend. 

Who was in this story? The pack of poo, which is the author’s own pups: Lhasapoos Cupcake, Reggie, and Reno, plus the two Yorkipoos, Rocki and Rambo. Their friend is with them, Mocha the Cavachon. It’s Mocha’s human sister’s birthday. 

Once in Mexico City, these pups meet Sable the Powderpuff Chinese Crested (from We Rescued Rusty) and Maria the Chihuahua. They have much adventure and excitement leading up to the great Quinceeanera they attend, just in time to see the beautiful ballerina. 

While children enjoy this adventurous story filled with adorable animal interactions, they also learn some about the puppy breeds and about Mexico City.

This is the second book of The Pack of Poo travels. In the first, they fly to Hawaii.
