Night 1 of the 2023 WWE Draft took place on Friday Night SmackDown. Superstars from Raw, SmackDown and NXT were all eligible and taken into consideration for night one of this two night long process in hopes of improving both the Red and Blue brand.

The Blackpool Combat Club have absolutely dismantled AEW as of late, namely The Elite. Their latest victim was Konosuke Takeshita, however could this be the beginning of an eventual heel turn for Konosuke? The winner of the 2023 Royal Rumble, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes goes 1 on 1 with "The Tribal Chief/Head of the Table" Roman Reigns in the main event for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, that Roman has held for 944 days. Bianca Belair defends her Raw Women's Championship that she has held since WrestleMania 38 against Asuka. Edge faces Finn Balor in HIAC and "The Ring General" Gunther, defends his Intercontinental Championship in a triple threat match against "The Celtic Warrior" Sheamus and "The Scottish Warrior" Drew McIntyre. Although only 6 matches are scheduled for tonight, this is a classic case of quality over quantity. So take a listen to our picks then enjoy night two of WrestleMania! 

WrestleMania 39 (night one) takes place later tonight at SoFi Stadium in California. Tonight will consist of a 7 match card, where we will see 3 title defenses including the United States, SmackDown Women's and The Undisputed WWE tag team championships all up for grabs. Rhea looks for redemption from 3 years ago when Charlotte Flair defeated her at WrestleMania 36. Seth Rollins has a few receipts for Logan Paul. Most recent WWE Hall of Fame inductee, Rey Mysterio plans on teaching his son Dominik a lesson just as John Cena will look to do the same against Austin Theory. Trish and Lita, Sami KO, Chad and Otis, Jimmy and Jey. They're all in action tonight so be sure to tune in before the biggest show of the year gets underway. 

NXT Stand & Deliver takes place this afternoon at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. Set to be a 7 match card, with  5 championships on the line, including a ladder match for the NXT Women's Championship plus an unsanctioned match between Monday Night Raw Superstar Johnny Gargano vs Grayson Waller. Schism looks to take control of Chase University, and Dragon Lee makes his first NXT Premium Live Event appearance in hopes of capturing North American Gold. 

Ring of Honor hosts Supercard of Honor on Friday night at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California. All championships will be on the line and talent from AEW, NJPW and AAA will all be taking part in this fantastic 8 match card.
