One time for the ladies... There's a shortage of males to root for in this film, but I can put my own complaints aside and celebrate a film that places it's ladies in the forefront, all while being directed by a man. Forest Whitaker is a man of many hats. Enjoy, people.

Then somewhere out there, Renny Harlin heard me and said he's not only got one movie in store here, but he's got two more afterwards. I'm really starting to feel like this is one of the more underappreciated black cinema franchises out here... The original was a good feel and the second got a bit more wild, but this is the one that we'll look back on and realize just how much of an impact it has today.
