You can't kill something that's already dead they say, and some would argue that this franchise has been long dead since the 2000s... But some creators out there would beg to differ because a reboot is finally on the way. But there's some very important questions, comments, and concerns that I have here. It has to be said. This is another that was recommended to me on Facebook and being as though I had seen a small clip that had me into it, it was a no brainer once I was being super sold on this by an outside party. What I thought was just a creature feature took me COMPLETELY by surprise. Enjoy, people.

I'm not sure if the backstory on Willy Wonka in the Tim Burton remake is to blame here, but I'm curious as to how many people actually wanted to know how young Wonka came up in the chocolate game... I can honestly say I wasn't one of them. But if I'm intrigued about one thing here, it's how Timothee Chamalet will portray this version of the classic character. Risky business nonetheless. With all the yelling and screaming at the screen I do watching horror flicks, whether in my head or out loud, this is one of those movies that speaks directly to me... While there's tons of moments I can and can't relate to, I feel like there's plenty of blueprints here to either survive the horror genre as a black person, or find yourself on the chopping block. It's always an interesting time when an undead serial killer is going after folks who kind of sort of maybe almost deserve their demise... The unpatriotic people of this small town are hard to root for when Uncle Sam shows up, but they're damn sure easy to make fun of. Christmas came early here, much like some of these very naughty folks who end up running afoul of a killer dressed as Santa Claus... I don't frequent this movie much at all, but it was a good time to revisit. This one had parents in a frenzy during the 80s due to the subject matter, but I'm not an uptight person when it comes to my horror. This was actually more fun than I expected it to be. I've been waiting on this new season to start for a long time... And it wasn't the moment season 5 ended, it was the moment season 5 came in swinging the way they did. This is such a well crafted series with so many different elements that give outsiders a particular view of Chicago. This is the most I've visited the area and while it's via tv series, it's a hell of a ride that I'm ready for again. Enjoy, people.
