So we've basically got a modern take on Frankenstein/Frankenstein's Monster... Only it's a black girl as the lead, she's bringing her brother back from the dead, and it's set in the projects. Sign me up. This can be interesting enough to fall perfectly in line with the rest of the modern black horror projects that are killing it right now. I hope this is as weird as it looks. So this is what happens when I try to do two things at once here... This is the result of me trying to watch the so-called sappy movies my Lady wants me to watch, and also the result of me trying to be versatile with my content overall. I've been telling myself I need to do more movies that gear towards my female listeners, so this seems like a win/win. While it's my second viewing and while time travel on screen tends to make my head hurt, I won't lie and say I didn't enjoy this. Joke was on me I guess. Enjoy, y'all.

We've seen this type of premise done many times before, but maybe J.Lo can be the one to break a new barrier and give us something different... Right? I'm just saying that I don't know too many folks who will take this seriously enough to get excited. But I'll stay optimistic. Enjoy, people.

I always say that when Hollywood can't seem to get the job done, in come the true fans who spend their own money to make things happen... 2010 was the last time Elm Street fans were blessed, or lack thereof, with a new take on the property and it wasn't pretty. But here we are in 2023 with a fan film centering on Dylan from New Nightmare, and I'm happy nonetheless. As long as it's not Nancy again and again, this can work. Enjoy, folks.

To get straight to the point, I wasn't a fan of the first Captain Marvel movie... And being as though I already wasn't familiar with the character, the movie being bland as hell didn't help much. But here we have Brie Larson back, and she's got some help along the way. She's also got director Nia DaCosta at the helm of this. With how female driven this sequel is overall, I'm definitely rooting for it to be solid.

I did this one pretty late last night... Which in turn means that I stayed up even later, which ties into the fact that I'm up early for the upload itself.
