With today being the day Donald Pleasance passed away, the bit lighter side of the date is I was able to honor and celebrate the birthday of my OG zombie killer, Duane Jones... Not only apart of my favorite film ever made, but a barrier breaker of color on screen (ironically enough, it was for a black and white film). So I break down my top moments of his during the longest night 1968 had seen. Happy Birthday, and R.I.P.

Today marks the day that Donald Pleasance passed away back in 1995, and I remember feeling like I had lost a mystical type of Uncle or something... This is a guy who was such a presence on screen for me. Aside from being in a plethora of films throughout the years, his portrayal of Dr. Loomis in the Halloween series is by far my favorite. To show him some love and respect, I discuss my favorite moments from the six Halloween films he starred in. R.I.P.

So after surviving multiple viewings of the Fast 9 trailer that dropped this afternoon, I got a chance to break some things down and take a deeper look... And while I do have some questions, I'm absolutely loving what I'm seeing for the most part. My brain is a bit on overload now, so I didn't get to do a frame by frame breakdown. But here are just some crazy things that caught my eye, and things that raise some wonders. Enjoy, people.

I'm a sucker for underrated gems, especially horror ones... So this is a review I've been waiting for the moment I started this podcast. I consider the 90s the era of horror that wasn't as appreciated, so I had to show some love to this campy slasher flick. There's a lot of fun to be had here, and we really don't get unique slashers like this anymore. "Buy a bag, go home in a box" will always be a tagline that sticks with me. Enjoy, folks.

What a treat to realize this underrated gem of mine was celebrating it's 23rd year in cinema... This is easily one of my favorite films ever, and one of Tupac Shakur's most underrated films also. Him and Tim Roth make this a classic for me, and it's just such a wild ride set in a very normal world. I had to let it run it's course and have some fun with this one here. Enjoy, people.

Man, when I say I am all smiles right now and eating my words... This is great news. I thought Disney would be starting from scratch with a new Mighty Ducks reboot but clearly, Emilio Estevez making the headline says otherwise. Yup, Gordon Bombay is coming back to lead the Ducks to victory once again. Only this time, they're all fresh faces. I can't wait. Enjoy, y'all.

For the life of me, I can never understand why it is so hard for horror franchises to have consistency, and continuity... It's so easy to do! In this case, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise has very little to no continuity at all, which makes each film almost feel like a standalone version. So with news of a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper's 1974 classic in the works, I tried (and almost didn't make it) to touch on the times this series has and hasn't had any tie ins to each other. Nope... You just can't recreate this. John Carpenter has put his stamp on what was based off of a classic novella, and what was made in 1982 still holds up. The 2011 prequel tried to live up, but was a CG fest, yet pretty fun to watch. But this, this screams "No" all across the arctic. This Thing (pun intended) needs to be left to freeze for another thousand years or so. Enjoy, y'all.
