Throughout the history of livestock farming, cattle have specialized according to phenotypic and genotypic characteristics into two types of cattle: either milk or meat. From these, a third intermediate type emerges, known as dual-purpose cattle.
Today, there are farms that specialize in raising these types of cattle and seek ways to showcase the animals they produce. To this end, exhibition fairs have been created where each rancher shows the world the best of their livestock.
