Jhon César Neita, curador de la Colección de Entomología del Instituto Humboldt, a través de sus estudios, concluye que Colombia alberga tres géneros de escarabajos rinoceronte: Golofa, Dynastes y Megasoma con una representación de aproximadamente 15 especies en el territorio nacional.

Estos insectos están amenazados cada vez más por flagelos envueltos en la ilegalidad, como la deforestación y el tráfico de fauna silvestre. En el capítulo de hoy conoceremos aspectos importantes sobre estas especies.
