TVC 611.3: Tony and Donna join Ed for a remembrance of Jerry Springer, the award-winning television personality who passed away Thursday, Apr. 27 at age seventy-nine. Though known to national TV audiences as the Ringmaster of his raucus, controversial, and often confrontational syndicated show, if you have roots in Cincinnati—as Donna and her family do—the Jerry Springer you'll remember is quite different, given his roots in Cincinnati politics and his distinguished, multi-Emmy Award-winning career as a local TV newscaster.

TVC 611.4: Ed welcomes television icons Patrick Duffy (Dallas, Step by Step, The Bold and the Beautiful) and Linda Purl (Happy Days, Matlock, The Office). Patrick and Linda are co-founders of Duffy's Dough, a company that shows you how to make your own sourdough bread, sourdough pizza dough, sourdough cinnamon rolls, and many other homemade goodies, all from scratch—and all with the help of a dehydrated sourdough starter kit that originated with Patrick's family more than seventy years ago. Topics this segment include how the story of Duffy's Dough begins with how Linda and Patrick first became a couple—and the role that actor Richard Thomas played in bringing them both together.
The Duffy's Dough Sourdough Starter and Essentials Kit is available for a limited time and includes dehydrated starter, flour, sugar, measuring spoons and cups, apron, potholder, scraper, a French rolling pin, and a recipe book, while the Solo Dehydrated Sourdough Starter Kit includes dehydrated starter and a recipe book. All net proceeds from sales of Duffy's Dough starter kits will support Patrick and Linda's various charitable causes (which include food scarcity, education, and the environment), while Patrick personally made each flake of dehydrated starter that went into the first 1,000 kits made. For more details, go to DuffysDough.com.

TVC 610.3: From August 2016: Emmy Award winning director Steve Binder (Elvis: The 1968 Comeback Special, The T.A.M.I. Show) with the back story of "The Touch," the seminal moment of the April 1968 special Petula, starring Petula Clark and Harry Belafonte, in which Clark reached out and touched Belafonte on the arm while they performed the song "On the Path of Glory." Coming on the heels of the Civil Rights Movement, Clark's unrehearsed, impromptu gesture caused an uproar behind the scenes among network executives and the show's sponsors over whether that shot should be edited out of the special before it aired on NBC. Harry Belafonte passed away last Tuesday, Apr. 25 at the age of ninety-six.
