Professor visitante no Institute of Psychiatry, London, fundador e co-diretor do Centre for the study of Faith, Science and Values in Health Care da University of Gloucestershire, UK. Professor John Cox, BM BCh , DM (Oxon), FRCPsych, FRCP, is a Past President and Dean of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He was Secretary General of the World Psychiatric Association for six years.He was awarded the Merce Medal in 1986 for his pioneer research and clinical work in Perinatal Psychiatry . He has recently co –edited two books published by Wiley /Balckwell –Personhood and Mental Health: a bridge between infant and adult mental health and Psychiatry and Religion: beyond boundaries. Prof. Cox has co-authored Modern management of Perinatal Psychiatric Disorders, and is well known for his work in primary care and in particular for the development of the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale. Currently he is Visiting Professor of Mental Health at the University of Gloucestershire and the Institute of Psychiatry, London; Founding co- chair of the Centre for the study of Faith, Science and Values in Health Care at the University of Gloucestershire, and Professor Emeritus at Keele University.
