This week, Mom and I discuss a show that is totally outside of my wheelhouse, but that I somehow still enjoyed, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. Mom didn't love it. She can't get past the science behind how someone can read people's minds through song, and I can't stop smiling while watching it. Check it out on Hulu. And yeah, I googled it and Chinatown does take place in the 1930's, get off my case. Enjoy!

I loved HBO's Watchmen, but Mom couldn't get into it. The barrier to entry for this show is high, but it's worth it! Happy Holidays, TV With My Mom Viewers! This week Mom and I watched FX's adaptation of a Christmas Carol staring Guy Pearce. Spoilers: it is some seriously depressing stuff. Maybe save it for after the holiday season is over so you don't decide to cancel Christmas. Also, Mom was holding a tissue in her hand for the second half of the podcast and the crinkling is super distracting. Enjoy! See you in the new year!

This week on the podcast I try to talk about the merits of episodic television that gets released on a weekly basis rather than all at once, and Mom talks about how much she would like to see the Mandalorian's face. At least we can both agree that Star Wars has a new cutest character! Spoilers abound so if you haven't found a way to watch the Mandalorian without subscribing to yet another streaming service and you don't want to know what the show is about, give this one a skip.
