In this episode we recap this week's viral news and events from an independent prospective.
If you haven't noticed we've been a little unpredictable with uploading shows recently and it is because we're moving to a new network. We have several prerecorded episodes that I wanted to get out before the move. We will still be recording free content here along with premium content on the new platform (soon to be announced).
Ladies and gents, we were recording a pilot episode for Anthony Cumia's Compound Media! We figured while we're here, let's go ahead and go live for our FB and YT audience. We're winging it here but this is what we do! News, gossip and current events. We're like the View except we're not insufferable megalomaniacs.
End of year special episode with Michelle Black.
Michelle is the author of "Sacrifice: A Gold Star Widow's Fight for the Truth." Her husband, Green Beret Bryan Black, was killed in an ambush in Niger in October of 2017. After receiving few and contradictory details about the ambush, she took it upon herself to find the answers. She trained herself to be an investigative journalist and conducted exclusive interviews with the survivors of her late husband's unit and researched military leadership and accountability to tell a previously unknown story.
Michelle and I had a nice talk about the meaning of family, life as a mil-spouse, raising children and the search for truth - no matter how painful. It was a honor to have her on the show and I hope you enjoy the interview.
Our last show before Christmas 2021! Gifts galore! Or will Jeremy and Frank get coal in their 21 Gun stockings?
We have two special guests tonight to end off a great year for 21 Gun. First, we have Erik Nagel, producer of the infamous Opie and Anthony show. If you're not familiar with O&A, they revolutionized modern radio entertainment for over 25 years and were a major inspiration for yours truly.
We also have Fletcher Gill, founder of Luke's Wings. Luke's Wings reunites injured, wounded, and ill service members with family by providing complementary air fare during recovery and rehabilitation. Awesome organization! Let's see if we can help them out this Christmas!
Join us for a 21 Gun Christmas Tradition when we find out which is the smartest branch of the military for 2021! Last year, representing the USMC, Gus Martinez came in strong for the win. The Navy had a disappointing showing earning an embarrassing ZERO POINTS! Space Force upset the Vegas odds makers by not taking the gold and the coast guard didn't even show! We have a new line up of veterans and active duty members who will join the fray and we hope to see you tonight!
We're back at it with a recap of this weeks news and current events as seen through the eyes of the modern veteran.
Our guest is Benny from Semper SOmetimes Podcast, a non scripted Veteran Podcast covering a wide range of topics from alcoholism to Recruiting Duty as well as the problem's plaguing our. Welcome aboard Benny!!!
Our guest was a no show! It's okay. Keisha Boyd from Wounded Veterans Relief Fund joined us for some fun!
Of course we also recap the latest news and events of the week from the viewpoint of the modern veteran.
PACKED studio tonight! We have a few Green Berets, a few Marines, an EOD Tech and an Air Force Officer to keep it classy! We discuss news and current events from the perspective of the modern day veteran.
Special Guest: Chad Soundart from Kraken Skulls. What is Kraken-Skulls? Is it a tattoo parlor? Is it a barber shop? Do they sell apparel or how about beard balm and oils? How about all of the above?!?! We're excited to Chad on the show to talk about his cool business.
Also in studio, Ranger Rick! Check out his interview over here!
It has been a hell of a 2 year stint representing the Irreverent Warriors with our weekly podcast! But, as all good things come to an end, so too has our time with IW. We have had a great run and made a lot of important connections with politicians, celebrities and various VSOs, large and small, who have come on the show and shared similar missions. We have connected so many IW hikers with resources and made relationships that will further the goal of preventing veteran suicide. We had a lot of laughs but I hope we saved a few lives in the process too.
