It's important to learn about spiritual gifts. It is essential to get to know the One who gives them. This message is all about the Giver.

Jody is on vacation this week. Chris served in the past as our Youth Minister, and we are honored that he filled in today for Jody.Is God asking you to take a risk on His behalf to use abilities/gifts He has given you to His glory?

Ok, I get it. The Bible says everyone has some gift. So how do I find out what my gift is?

Ok, so the Bible says I’m gifted. First, I don’t feel very gifted. At least not in a way that would really make much of a difference. And second, just what is a spiritual gift anyway?

This is the Sunday after the shooting tragedies in Minnesota, Louisiana and Texas. This morning we spent some time singing and thinking about unity and love. We shared scriptures that celebrate those concepts ... from the book of Psalms, Psalms that are called "psalms of lament". We also shared prayers of healing. We reaffirmed what we believe to be true about God and how he works in the world.

Everyone has a gift.Behind every gift represented in our congregation is God.Our gifts are to be used to serve others - it's why God gave them to us.

When you use the gifts God has given you in service to his cause, you have an answer to one of the most important questions you'll ever ask ... why am I here?
