Wendover joins us from the West Herts car park and reviews the games since the last international break and looks forward to the two remaining games before the next – Huddersfield Town away and Rotherham United at home. We chat further about how to get the best from Rajovic and how the substitutions helped and hurt with that. Plus are we better off without Louza currently, who it must be remembered put in the telling cross for the equalizer. Greg finishes off with a new Indian take away dish and reveals his dislike for Strictly Come Dancing before Pete introduces a new segment – name that commentary!
Neal joins us from a squally south coast and questions why disgusting Orange wearing sneak – Keith Stroud booked Ken Sema? We discuss the US fans coming over and Neal warns us all off Baseball if anyone plans the reverse fixture. Character, Team Spirit, and progress are commended but the subs should be read in the game and not prescribed before the in-game action. Frustration at Louza is echoed with an emphasis on “team” rather than individual.
Rio comments that we should be beating teams like Millwall at home when we were in a strong position and hopes for 6 points but will take 4 from the next two games. Does Lewis look better with Big Ken in front of him?
Alex joins us from the car and accurately calls the commentary quiz answer! Ale then loses signal, and we talk to Gary who was already regretting going drinking with Carl and the guys from the US and very possibly the guys from the Netherlands – reiterates the point the Rajovic needs regulation wingers to supply crosses to make him effective. Gary also enjoyed meeting “Badly Drawn Watford” and implores people to follow him. Garry then echoes Carls points earlier and Pete hopes that all parties can come together amicably, show contrition, and just move forward. An example from the 70s/80’s is given where this was done well.
Neil joins us but we only have half of his discussion as midway through the chat a nasty echo is produced, and no one should have to hear Pete ramble on twice!!! The Market Tavern turning back in to “Shakers” for an evening – which sounds a lot of fun! Neil is pleased to see the summer arrivals starting to show their true colours. Neil explains that Sema was booked for back chatting to Luton ref Keith Stroud! On that basis the whole of the Rookery would have booked after 10 minutes!! King Ken goes up in all our opinions for that I’m sure 😊
The five word and long form reviews are as ever an excellent barometer for the game and the goings on of the week.
