Anna is a mystery to me…literally, because I don’t know her. By the same token I am a complete stranger to her, yet she was so positive in coming on to my channel to talk about who she is, that her courage and confidence must be complimented. Moreover Anna is an open person. She is raw and powerful and a real voice that fits the real person that she embodies and represents.
She is by origin Latvian, but also German and also British, with a slice of Russian thrown in. She has cultural traits from all and everywhere. She says “we” to each one. She is so many things and at the same time, she is not to be categorised as one thing or another, she is the seamless manifestation of all in one fell swoop.
We talk about her blog (a Life torn by Love, a collection (annagetyourlifetogether.blogspot.com)), depression, suicide, politics, history education, gender equality, discrimination and dance. So many diverse and deep topics and yet each one is visited with sensitivity, care and affection. Anna meanders through these intimacies like a skater and alights upon each topic with her insightful grace.
I am sure you will enjoy listening to her and I look forward to talking with her again.
Thank you, Anna!
