Two Average Fans

The Toronto Blue Jays have finally moved on from the Marcus Stroman era, sending him to the Mets for two question mark prospects. Fans aren't totally convinced this deal is a win, so we brought in our highly touted baseball analyst Brian for his take. Could we see Vince Carter back in a Raptors uniform next season? Lets hope.. The Tampa Bay Lightning went ahead and locked up their franchise goaltender to a long term contract, it was only a matter of time. This move makes sense all around. Hope you enjoy this off season edition of Two Average Fans! www.twoaveragefans.com

Cam is back in the studio this week! We get back into the thick of the off season transactions from around the NHL and NBA. The Garret Sparks era in Toronto is over! The Leafs will be taking on the contract of David Clarkson in exchange. Will this put the Leafs in a position to sign Marner?! With all of the free agent/trade acquisitions from around the NBA, which duo is primed to deliver next season?? This week could be Marcus Stroman's last week in a Toronto Blue Jays uniform. He has been nothing short of stellar leading up to the deadline. Gahhhh.. It will take a while to recover from this loss... Kawhi Leonard is going home. We're not totally surprised but this pill isn't one we were hoping to swallow. With dreams of a five year max contract planted in our cerebellums and the added pain of the rumored trade offer from the Oklahoma City Thunder, we're stuck picking up the pieces. This move creates an environment for absolute media chaos in LA next season, with the developing rivalry between the Clippers and Lakers. The Lakers continue to add pieces to their puzzle, while the Clippers added Leonard and George to an already stellar line up. Along with this struggle for Raptors fans, we're still waiting on the Leafs and Mitch Marner to come to an agreement. The silence has leafs fans worried. On a much more positive note; Vladdy Jr. put on an absolute clinic at the Home Run Derby! Shattering the previous record for total home runs hit over the contest! After one of the most entertaining free agency periods in our lifetime, we're hear to break it down. The Leafs made a huge splash landing Tyson Barrie and Cody Ceci to bolster their blueline. Finally getting that right shot D man everyone has been screaming for. Kadri was a necessary loss but they were able to resign Kasperi Kapanen and Andreas Johnsson to very team friendly deals that will either pay off or be completely trade-able. Apparently Ottawa has been so bad that the Leafs are now a split squad playing between the two cities. A ton of high profile names have been cleared off the free agent list. There were some pretty lofty numbers thrown around, which in some cases will most definitely come back to bite. Kawhi.. We are here... waiting... hoping... [email protected]

While we try to bask in the eternal glory of the Toronto Raptors iconic championship win, we can't help but speculate on the impending roster shake ups that could be forthcoming. Will he stay? Will Kawhi return to the 6ix to defend his championship!? Can the Leafs manage to wiggle out of this disastrous cap space position? It isn't looking good. They paid quite a price to get rid of the Patrick Marleau contract and now turn their sights to Zaitsev. This seems to be the key contract that stands between them and signing Mitch Marner. Cam has a run in on the trails during another great installment of Cycling Chronicles, and this time he's the one at fault. [email protected]

THE TORONTO RAPTORS ARE THE NBA CHAMPIONS!!!!! The Raps managed to finish off the Warriors in Oracle Arena for their fourth straight win on the road. Congratulations to all the players and staff that made this victory possible. You made our dreams come true! This was an unbelievable team effort from the first round, all the way through to game 6 of the finals. It took four raptors scoring over 20 points to finally put away the defending champs! Let's enjoy this!! And now the speculation begins.... we will be here.. waiting.. not so patiently.. will Kawhi return to try and run this back? The Raptors have done all they can. Now we leave it to the Gods. Oh ya.. The Blues won! Wooh! All this and more on this episode of Two Average Fans. [email protected]

The Toronto Raptors came up clutch in Oakland to take a 3-1 series lead over the Golden State Warriors! The Country was waiting with anticipation for a game 5 victory, but with key plays not going the Raptors way late in the game the Warriors survived to force a game 6 back home! We're distraught... Hoping the Blues win game 7 though! This would help ease the pain until facing the music on Thursday night. Is Tuukka Rask on his way to winning the Conn Smythe trophy? Or will Jordan Binnington stand tall in his rookie year yet again. The Beer is expensive at Rogers Centre. Let us hear you! [email protected]

The Toronto Raptors are headed to Oakland with the series tied 1-1. Can they pull off a dramatic game 3 win on the road?! Can the Raptors hit enough open shots?! The Blues and the Bruins are tied at two games a piece. Hopefully the Blues find a way to get some more traffic in on Tuukka Rask! Marleau and Zaitsev look like the sacrificial lambs for the Leafs' salary cap debacle this off season. Who will they have to give up to entice teams to take on that lofty salary? All that and more this week with Two Average Fans! [email protected]

THE TORONTO RAPTORS ARE HEADED TO THE NBA FINALS!!!!!! The Raptors rattled off 4 straight wins against the Bucks and are getting set for Game 1 against the star studded Golden State Warriors on Thursday night. Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals in the books, the Boston Bruins come all the way back against the Blues to take a 1-0 series lead. Kessel on the way out of town?
