The Dads recap and review Season 3 Episode 3 - "People of Earth"

DISCO is back, baby! The Dads are happy to dive into the third season (and soft reboot) of this great Trek stable. We felt that because it took us two episodes to see how everyone fared through the wormhole, we would wait and combine them.

We hope you enjoy our discussion and, as always, thank you for the listen.

The Dads decided to wait and do a Wrap Up on this season once it was finished. Overall it did what it set out to do from the beginning: Be a love letter to Star Trek. And we believe it accomplished that.

There are always ways to grow and improve. We hope Season 2 pushes the comedy line further into the adult zone. Time will tell.

Let's go second half of the season! This episode gets a little more "adult" with Badgey. So much so I probably should not have let my kid watch it. Badgey is this generation's nightmare fuel. Guess we will not watch "Gremlins" for a while.

We also talk a little about other TV shows that are on right now: Hoops, Raised by Wolves, and Lovecraft Country. If you haven't, go check these shows out.

"Cupid's Errant Arrow"

Halfway through the season. How are you all feeling about it? We are finding that we either want it to be more adult comedy or longer, more "Star Trek" type episode with some chuckles. 

We discuss Star Trek Day and the resulting information and trailers that came out. And as always, thank you for the listen and we hope you come back for next week's discussion of Episode 6.

"Moist Vessel"

Let's just say this right now. This series gets better every episode. Great laughs and a genuine "Star Trek" episode. Nothing we need more than a problem of the week and a great scientific jargon to fix it.

But we need you to settle our debate: does the rest of the crew know that Mariner is the Captain's daughter?

"Temporal Edict"

We almost did it. Almost released a review on the same day the show was first available. But alas, I could not get it finished on the same day.

Our review is hard on the show but fair to what is could become. There are numerous aspects that we do enjoy about this show and we have high hopes for it. Just take the kid gloves off and start hitting us with adult cartoon content.

The Dads review the pilot episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks.

We're back....again! Yes, another long break for us. But Corey got to watching some new movies and wanted to talk about this one. Guns Akimbo or Harry Potter Murders a Bunch of People. Either title works. This fun, fast action jaunt had us both captivated. Some of us might had crushed on Nix...or at least those teeth.

We do talk some current events as well so jump to 17:50 if you want to get right into the movie review.
