Uploading eps got a little tough for a while (crazily we chose to prioritise our jobs/we live in a world where productivity determines your worth 🥲) but don't think we haven't been recording content for you all this time!! It ain't much, but it's honest work.
So thank you for your patience and just a little warning in advance - dates are out of wack and expect that to continue for the next few episodes.
Travel back to November 2021 with us, as we emerge from Sydney's last lockdown and celebrate FINALLY getting to watch Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Marvel's latest superhero joint and their first with an Asian lead. Suffice to say, expectations were met.
Keeping with the theme of Asian representation, we talk about Netflix's Christmas rom-com offering Love Hard, starring Jimmy O. Yang and Nina Dobrev. It's great to see a romantic pairing that's not what Hollywood typically offers, but we wonder if the catfishing storyline really works.
Last but certainly not least, we celebrate the achievements of singer, songwriter, actress, professional Coachella influencer Vanessa Anne Hudgens who solidified her status as rom-com queen with The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star. She absolutely crushes it and it's frankly insulting to the arts that there's Oscar buzz for Lady Gaga and Kristen Stewart and not for the woman who brought to life Stacy Juliette De Novo Wyndham (Princess of Belgravia), Margaret Katherine Claire Delacourt (Queen of Montenaro), and Lady Fiona Pembroke ALL IN ONE MOVIE.
PS. You'll notice us confusing Belgravia for Montenaro and vice versa, it really doesn't make a difference to the movie.
