We’re back together, live and in person! We’re feeling a little in our feelings post-holiday, and hope some of you can relate to not getting an Easter basket as an adult or difficult conversations at the family dinner table. After recapping Elliot Page’s book last week, Hannah rewatched Juno. That movie still gets laughs today and the soundtrack will always be synonymous with the early 2000s indie era. Ailish also watched Apples Never Fall and All of Us Strangers, and gave solid reviews for both.

This week’s episode of VPR attempted to paint Ariana Madix as the victim, Post-reunion, a certain costar has even made it her mission in life to bash her any chance she gets (ahem…Lala). We can talk about this until we’re blue in the face, but Ariana is feeling all her feelings and that’s totally okay. We loved what Nicola Coughlan said on WWHL about friends who went through a similar situation in our normal lives would be given at least a year to grieve and “act out”. Ariana is going through her grieving and mourning process; leave her alone! Things really heat up at the pool party which, unfortunately, continues into Beach Day pt. 2. The gang tried horrible jokes, sticking up for Sandoval, and silence, but none of these things could fully salvage the day. Except maybe Scheana randomly mentioning that all the guys in the group have flirted with her at some point. That did take the focus off of Tom and Ariana for a second! In the uncensored and uncut edition of this episode, we also saw some confessional clips from Ann, and a very telling lunch with the Toms and Kyle Chan. Knowing that horrible conversation was edited out makes us believe the men have been getting the good edit for years and that Stassi was right. We’re virtual again this week, as we discuss Rebel Wilson’s new book, Pageboy by Elliot Page, and the book version of Poor Things. Rebel Wilson made headlines this week by exposing Sacha Baron Cohen as a creep who was trying to stop her from talking about him in her upcoming memoir. Needless to say, this is one we’ll definitely be reading and recapping on a future episode of the pod. Hannah’s been flying through the audiobooks and recently finished Pageboy and Poor Things. We discuss Elliot Page’s honesty and how many of the sexual scenes were left out of the book version of Poor Things compared to the movie. We also quickly discuss the somewhat shocking news that Variety recently broke about RHOBH breaking franchise records. We’re definitely skeptical, but believe this had to be because the entire season was a tease about Kyle Richards’ love life.Digging into VPR, we honestly felt like this episode was another choppy one. It was more put together than last week’s episode, but that really isn’t saying very much. Tom and his friends continue to disrespect Ariana’s no-contact request and put her in uncomfortable situations regarding the house and their dog Mya. We finally hear the “whole story” on the Schwartz and Scheana kiss which left us conflicted. While we agree that it’s not something that should have ever happened and it would be hurtful for Katie to find out even now, it doesn’t change the fact that Schwartz and Katie are divorced. With some of the comments made, it does make us wonder about Scheana’s relationship with Katie and Lala. Tom Sandoval also brings Lala and us along on his very uncomfortable, deep breathing meditation journey. Let’s just say, it sounded like he reeeally enjoyed himself…The other bombshell of the episode came from Brock’s ultimate betrayal. We were absolutely floored watching Brock throw his wife under the bus when he so casually shared that she was nosey about a friend’s location. Let’s all be honest with ourselves, we’ve all been Scheana and snooped on our friends, but never would expect our spouse to expose and humiliate us! We also both watched The Valley and can’t understand why Kristen, Jax, and Brittany couldn’t just come back on VPR. That aside, we’re enjoying that show way more than expected and the friend dynamics are keeping us engaged. Is anyone else dragging post time change? We’ve both been struggling ever since the clocks went forward, and we know we can’t be the only ones. The Oscars even started an hour earlier to accommodate! To wrap up award season, we give you a relatively quick recap of some of our favorite fashions and moments from the Oscars. Now we can finally stop talking about the Barbinheimer competition! Hannah also dishes on her trip to see the Cancelled Podcast tour, and how she was overcome with emotion at the sight of Tata Mongeau and Brooke Schofield’s hair. 

This week’s episode of VPR was definitely better than the last, but the dynamics of the group are still very strained which continues to make it difficult to fully enjoy. As we mentioned before, hopefully, the closing of the Lake Tahoe trip will also mean we’re closing all the Rachel talk. It certainly seemed like it after Lisa told Tom Sandoval she spoke to her and delivered the message that Rachel wants nothing to do with him. We also see Katie show some emotion when she’s talking to Scheana about her conflicted feelings which we both wish we could see more of. It seems like Katie and Ariana are really holding back on their true feelings this season. Lala also confides in Lisa that she’s working on moving forward with finding a sperm donor, and we find out from the after show that she’s due in September. The last couple of weeks, we’ve been struggling to cover RHOBH, but the end of the reunion is near with our recap of part two. In this episode, Kyle and Dorit feud over their friendship, Kyle accuses Sutton of not showing enough of her life on the show, Garcelle denies insinuating Dorit’s robberies were planned, and Crystal questions whether Tom Girardi actually has dementia. Annemarie was there too, but was conveniently cropped out of most of the shots so her second season isn’t looking hopeful! February comes to a close as does season 13 of RHOBH and we have to admit, we’re a little relieved. The second half of this season really just didn’t do it for us which is a shame because it started out pretty strong. We’re still holding out hope that the finale will bring some heat, but we’re keeping our expectations on the lower side. The finale episode was basically all about Kyle and Mauricio’s Annual White Party being at Sofi stadium. Sure, that was impressive, but isn’t it completely over-the-top and unnecessary? After all, this used to be a party that was held in their backyard…The main action came after the cameras went down and picked up about a month later. Kyle and Mauricio have an emotional sit down with their daughters to discuss their separation. The emotions were pretty raw for the girls, especially Portia, and it left us wondering if this was something that should have been done off-camera.

VPR brought us to Lake Tahoe this week and Sandoval continuously got emotional about being “welcomed” back into the group. While saying he was welcomed with open arms is a major stretch, he has come a long way from being shunned by every cast member as if he’s wearing a scarlet letter. We also see some extremely awkward fighting between Scheana and Brock which had us seeing some red flags, and watched as Sandova continued to manipulate..I mean… acknowledge the feelings of others. Somehow, he’s able to apologize and say all the right things to everyone but Ariana, but he still won’t accept responsibility for his own actions when he so clearly is in the wrong. Graham is also officially renamed Hippie which is pretty satisfying.

We also discuss Ailish’s mindset for dating in her 30s, Hannah fills Ailish in on Love Is Blind, and we share our confusion on Jennifer Lopez, her new movie, and her career in general. This week on the pod, we get a little more personal, and talk about what it means to be a woman and some of the pressures women in their 30s experience. At times, it’s felt like femininity has been almost villainized in the media and our feelings were confirmed by a recent TikTok Ailish saw. Hannah has also felt bombarded with questions about when she’s planning on having another child even though her youngest is only 1 ½. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Ailish has been stewing over some negative comments a coworker recently made about having children in your 30s. At the end of the day, we feel people should think before they speak and maybe keep their opinions to themselves.

This week’s episode of VPR really got Hannah fired up because of all the flip flopping when it came to Tom Sandoval. While we agree that Lisa was right to bring her concerns for Tom’s mental state to Lala and Scheana’s attention, we thought placing guilt on them was entirely inappropriate. Lala also apologizes to Schwartz which was nice, but it gave us a little whiplash. It’s great that Lala is working on herself and it’s understandable that that can take time, however, the explosions and apologies are getting exhausting. James gives some insight as to why he stopped drinking this time around, but it feels like this time it might be for good (yes, that’s been said before…) And how could we not mention the star of this episode: the dog formerly known as Graham. We were genuinely shocked to see the James/Graham reunion at Vanderpump Dogs, but had some mixed feelings about the scene as a whole.

We fly through RHOBH again this week, but feel hopeful that the finale and reunions will be more interesting and enjoyable to watch. This season started out great and really lost steam over the past few weeks. The same storylines and unsaid undertones are really turning us off! Now that football season is over, what will come of Taylor and Travis? We ponder that on this week’s episode, and give our honest thoughts about Travis’ emotional moment on the sidelines. As Millenials, we also really enjoyed Usher’s halftime performance, but noticed the love wasn’t shared by all on social media. We also share our opinions on appropriate funeral attire, Kim Kardashian and Odell Beckham Jr. going public, and Scott Disick’s recent thin appearance. 

We’re continuing to enjoy this season of Vanderpump Rules, but can’t help but wonder if the season will be overpowered by the strong emotions of some of the group. Unshockingly, we’re having a difficult time stomaching Tom Sandoval’s deflections and combative behavior that have continued to present-day. We sided with Lisa, but also felt Sandoval was using some of his manipulation tactics on her. Schwartz tried to “get the gang back together” by suggesting a Tahoe trip that coincides with Lisa preparing Wolf by Vanderpump for opening. It’s no surprise Ariana wasn’t on board, and the rest of the group stayed relatively silent. While Schwartz has certainly behaved badly toward Ariana, we felt her aggression and harsh words might be a little misplaced. Still, Schwartz refuses to give up on his friendship with Sandoval even though it might not be serving him anymore.

To wrap things up, we discuss RHOBH where the ladies are spending their last day in Barcelona. This season has been a bit lack-luster for us, even though we have been entertained. It feels like so many things are being left unsaid, so we wonder if things will finally come to a head at the reunion. After some crazy weather and a bout of sickness, we’re back together to record in person! We begin this episode by recapping the Grammys. It might have been a year or two since we watched, but it felt a lot less exciting and, yet again, the event space seemed really cramped. Remember when the Grammys were famous for their iconic collab performances? Well, that seems to be a thing of the past. We were really impressed by Miley Cyrus’ growth and maturity, and loved her performance! Hannah’s been reading a lot recently and shared her thoughts on Hannah Brown’s and Damien Echols’ respective books. We can all agree that Hannah Brown’s season of the Bachelorette and the Bachelor season that followed were two of the most dramatic and unhinged seasons in Bachelor franchise history, but we didn’t really know much about Hannah’s early years. Turns out, she had some intense trauma that she was never able to fully process. We also discuss this week’s episode of Juicy Scoop with Diablo Cody where she and Heather talk about transparency within the entertainment industry.

This week’s episode of Vanderpump Rules felt like a classic episode. Tom Sandoval has returned from filming Special Forces and we get a peek at how he and Ariana are cohabitating. We definitely don’t envy poor Ann and can see why she recently quit! Scheana continues to get real about her postpartum struggle with OCD, and she and Brock get in kind of an awkward fight where her mom and babysitter get involved. The cherry on top of this episode was definitely Tom Sandoval calling James a narcissist for refusing to rehash something that happened 10 years ago. He’s heard the word so much over the months post-Scandoval, so he decided to try it on someone other than himself. RHOBH was another snoozer this week, so we kept the recap pretty quick. It's our 50th episode! We're remote again this week, but that doesn't stop us from discussing everything Vanderpump related. To begin this episode, we break our boycott against The Viall Files in order to listen to his interview with Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz. It was interesting to say the least! While we were glad to hear that Nick was attempting to get answers from Sandoval, we don't believe he went about it the right way and it caused the interview to go completely off the rails. It didn't help that Nick hasn't watched even half of the seasons or that Sandoval may or may not have been under the influence. Say what you want about Schwartz, but he did make a valiant effort to make some sense of Sandoval's scattered and defensive comments!

From there we dove into what we've been waiting months for: the season 11 Vanderpump Rules premiere. This episode wasn't shocking, but it brought us up to speed on what everyone had been up to and kept us entertained. We particularly loved seeing James and Schwartz bond and the girls connecting over common enemies, and didn't care for the Lala/Rachel plotline and rehashing all the Scandoval details. Hannah brings up some thoughtful points after rewatching seasons 1-10 and Ailish adds tidbits from the After Show. We can't wait for the rest of this season and even more excited to discuss with all of you!

To wrap up the episode, we also discuss the Brittany Mahomes drama from last week’s playoff game and how she’s always going to be compared to Taylor Swift. Why don’t people vibe with Brittany? RHOBH didn’t particularly excite us this week, so we mainly talked about the AnneMarie situation. Amanda Hirsch of Not Skinny But Not Fat had a great interview with Theresa Caputo and Ailish explains how it struck a nerve with her.
