Stargazers are in for a dazzling double act this week, with two meteor showers reaching their brightest peak.

The Southern Delta Aquariids and the Alpha Capricornids showers have lit up Australian skies overnight — and for those who may have missed them — will return in the early hours of tomorrow.

Both are set to be most visible between midnight and 4am, as the radiants reach their highest point in the night sky.
