Two More Tryhards

Peter is back by himself one last time before the Two More Tryhard 3 year anniversary extravaganza.  After all of that talk about Doom 2016 and Doom Immortal, this episode is a look back to what originally made the franchise so great way back when in 1993.

Jordan takes a tiny dive into Sexy Hell and a deeper dive into the ways that games like Hades capture our collective interest in mythology and the divine as the latest  iteration in a history's worth of telling stories through larger than life figures.

This time we're out Peter, but tagging in Jordan.  Continuing our conversation on the Risk of Rain franchise, two more tryhards are talking about Risk of Rain 2 and why you should be playing the sequel instead of the original.

Hey you, guy that used our amazon affiliate link, we see you and we appreciate you! Here's another link for this objectively better sequel, Risk of Rain 2.

The gang is slowly getting back together as Peter and Morgan talk about Risk of Rain ahead of Morgan and Jordan talking about Risk of Rain 2. Know your roots, respect your heritage, but know that the sequel learns from the mistakes that are present in this classic. Take a trip down memory lane in this 2D platforming roguelike, Risk of Rain.

Peter is here by himself again to discuss games as art. This week is the future indie classic Spiritfarer. Ask yourself: When all is said and done, and your life is over, what will you leave behind? Spiritfarer poses this question and offers some potential answers in this base-building, metroidvania, action-platforming visual novel.

This week we have Peter and Morgan...and not Jordan but Ed, but not Morgan, it's Morgan. It's not as confusing as it sounds. Peter's new guild homies join him to talk about World of Warcraft's latest expansion because Jordan and Morgan won't and there's just too much for one tryhard to digest.

Follow Morgan and Ed at @mindmeldmo and @kavonde respectively to support your community!

Hey you, guy that used our amazon affiliate link, we see you and we appreciate you!  If anybody is in the market for a new mouse, Peter recommends this Naga Trinity!

For the first time in over a year, we got a gift from Lord Nintendo.  Last week was a full blown Nintendo Direct.  Not a Nintendo Direct Mini where they announce Smash characters and tell us there's no Breath of the Wild 2 news.  This is a full blown direct where they still tell us those things, but so much more, like Splatoon 3 incoming!

This week is a belated best of and worst of gaming in 2020.  The tryhard trio digs into a couple games you can probably guess, like World of Warcraft Shadowlands and Cyberpunk 2077, but they also touch on a couple that you might not have expected.  Listen in for the highs and lows from one of the lowest years in modern history.  Happy New Year and welcome to 2021!

It turns out pretending that we'll survive as a species to the year 2077 is NOT the most immersion breaking part of the new Cyberpunk 2077.  As it turns out, this game has some bugs.  Morgan is holding down the fort by himself this week discussing crunch culture, game development and how the trends of modern gaming are all put on showcase with Cyberpunk 2077 from CDPR.

Firstly, as the resident master of rhythm games, Peter would like to apologize for his absence.  All nighters working are not conducive to morning recording.

Aside from that, get down to Morgan and Jordan getting down to rising up to Valhalla in this rhythm shooter roguelike, BPM.
