Two More Tryhards

Morgan's up to bat now that we've peeled that beautiful pizza face of his away from the screen (look at twitter, it's not how it sounds).  He's giving first thoughts on his time with his beautiful new baby.  Should you run out and get it?  That's a solid...maybe?  Probably?  Listen and find out.

Jordan is here to talk about something that is spooky (to him at least).  Jordan got his hands on Control and wants to talk about some survival creepy for this Spooktober.  Gather round the campfire, imagine him with a flashlight shining up at his face, and prepare for a tale.

This week is kicking off our Spooktober by following up Killing Floor, with Killing Floor 2.  This one isn't an Unreal mod from 2005 and it shows.  KF2 is a tremendous upgrade in gameplay, visuals, sound and...gore?  It truly is a sight to behold in all of it's modern technology...gory.  Get it while its...shot?  No more puns, only podcast.  Come on down to the Killing Floor (2)!

Video game addiction is something new on the radar in the mental health community, and our very own Jordan happens to be a professional in that arena.  This week Jordan talks about recognizing behavioral addictions, video games in this instance, what we can do to cope with them and how the video game industry is currently contributing to the situation.

Morgan is here to talk about Ultrakill, an early access homage to arena shooters in a Doom skin in the year 2020.  Don't think this is just another Doom clone though, Ultrakill brings a lot of new things to the table, LIKE BATHING IN THE BLOOD OF YOUR ENEMIES!

Two More Tryhards streamed, but the Tryhard Trio is together to talk.  This week is Killing Floor, the Unreal mod from 2005 that was popular enough to get it's own release, spawn a sequel and set the stage for wave shooters for years to come.  This episode will blow your hair back and make your toes curl.  It's time for Two More Tryhards.

Peter is here to talk about OG Bioshock.  It's big brain time.  This isn't all about gameplay, this is about Andrew Ryan's Objective Idealism, Frank Fontaine's Moral Relativism, Rapture's American Exceptionalism and a whole host of other various "-isms."

Morgan is back sans two more tryhards to talk about the horrors he saw out there alone...and how much fun he had ripping and tearing em apart.  This week is a solo cast before the tryhards reconvene for Killing Floor.  This week is all about Mo and the things he had to do to survive on Mars and in Hell.  This week is about Doom 2016.

Peter is finishing off the solo series by talking about his personal favorite game of all time.  It isn't Guitar Hero, it isn't World of Warcraft, and it is Halo.  If Peter had to pick between this game, and literally any other, he will pick this game 100% of the time.  That game is Jonathan Blow's masterpiece, the the time-turning indie hit, Braid.

This episode is going to take fifteen minutes of your time to tell you how games can indeed be art and why Braid is the perfect example of such.
