Welcome to Season 2 Episode 2 of Two Old Guys Drinking Beer!  Well folks, he's done it again. Just when you think the President can't go any lower, he surprises us by doing exactly that. This time, he's trashing Africa and Haiti, and bemoaning we don't have more Norwegian immigrants.  What, does he have a craving for Pickled Herring all of a sudden?  Anyway, Bill and I discuss this, Michael Wolff's incendiary new book, "Fire and Fury", and we talk about a real leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, who had he lived would be 89 years old this year.  Finally, we head south of the border for our beer selection this week and our first international beer!  Viva Modela Negra!   I hope you enjoy the episode.

Happy New Year to all of our listeners!  It's the final broadcast of 2017.  We have a lot to cover during this episode so it's going to run a bit longer than usual.  We do a quick year in review pertaining to some of the big stories we saw in 2017. Then, we move to a special segment of discussing our Top 10 Whoppers list from the President who told an unbelievable 1600+ fibs during his first year in office. Wow, he must be tired. Anyway, we round out the broadcast with a review from an old and respected beer company from Shiner Texas.  We review Shiner Homespun.

While we spend most of the time on Two Old Guys Drinking Beer! commenting on the national political scene, we get into some local politics for this broadcast.

It's not often you get to sit down for a conversation with a candidate for elected office. Bill and I had the pleasure of doing just that with Mr. Steve Riddell, candidate for Texas House of Representatives District 92, which serves the Hurst, Euless, Bedford areas along with a portion of Grand Prairie, Arlington and Ft. Worth.

We had a great time talking with Steve. It's refreshing to have a conversation with someone intelligent and who has a good grasp of the issues. Steve gives us some insight into why he's running (hint: it has a lot to do with improving education) and how he hopes to influence change down in Austin.

Wow, we have a lot to get into in this episode. First of all, an earthquake in Alabama where Doug Jones, a Democrat defeats Roy Moore in the special election for Senate.  We discuss the pending Tax Bill before the Congress, say goodbye to Net Neutrality and review a new beer called Chief Justice Stout, from the Legal Draft Beer company in Arlington, Texas.  Enjoy!

Bill and I review Weekend Warrior Pale Ale, from Karbach Brewing company in Houston Texas.  We also have our World Series Recap, and believe it or not, we discuss football for just a little bit...  Enjoy.

Well, another two weeks into the Administration from Crazytown, and we have perhaps a more pervy candidate running for US Senate in Alabama than we did in last year's Presidential election.  I'm talking to you Donald.  Also, Bill and I discuss taxes, we have to talk about yet another mass shooting, and much more.   It's probably a good idea to have a drink of something alcoholic while listening, because all the crazy will make your head hurt.

We're back with a single episode of Politics, Beer and Baseball for this broadcast.  Bob Mueller, Special Counsel investigating the 2016 election interference from the Russians and potential collusion from the Trump Campaign has filed his first indictments of his investigation.  Of course President Trump wasn't happy about it. We talk about the indictments, talk about taxes, talk about General Kelly's less than stellar performance regarding the interaction with the widow of a US Soldier killed in Niger.  

On the lighter side, we discuss a new brew with a Rock and Roll connection from right here in Forth Worth, Texas.  And, we're back with baseball talk. This time it's discussing the World Series where the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros are having one heck of a series.  So, pop the top of a cold one, settle in and give the episode a listen.  Enjoy!
