Welcome to episode 6 of the Two Roads Travelled Podcast. The repercussions on a family living with or who have lived with alcoholism can be huge, taking behaviour and thoughts from childhood into adulthood as well as from relationship to relationship, without even knowing it. The trauma that families face is complex and often undetected, many experience PTSD either first hand or second hand, often not being dealt with until later in life, if at all. You could be living your life on high alert, never really being your true self, being fearful, judgemental and struggling to trust people. Jane Evans joins Jo and Paula to discuss these matters. Jane is a trauma expert, working with those that have experienced domestic violence, mental illness, family breakdown, addictions, often with a long history of trauma and abuse. Jane is a regular expert guest for debates on LBC Radio, BBC 5 Live, BBC Scotland, and on many global podcasts. She also travels the World speaking, training, coaching and writing.
